The Business Trip

It was the usual week long business trip
five days, four nights in a distant city.
This time she couldn't travel with him.
She kissed him goodbye at the front door,
a deep lingering kiss, oh so very French.
She whispered, “I'll have something special
waiting for you when you get home Friday.”
She knew how to make her man homesick
and was sure, during his business meetings,
he'd be thinking of her wearing only a smile
her long auburn hair covering full breasts
their rosy tips peeking through silky strands.

All week she missed her man to distraction.
Friday night finally arrived, a rainy evening.
After putting both the children to bed early
she relaxed in a hot bubble bath, tonight
she'd be perfect for him, sweet smelling skin
smooth waxed legs, freshly shampooed hair.
Sound of his car in the driveway, he was early!
Pausing to throw on a sheer, black, silk robe
she ran into the soft summer night to meet him.
What would the neighbors think? Neither cared.
“Welcome home,” she whispered as they kissed.
She had him unzipped before he could unbuckle!
