an autumn mountaintop, crimson in sunlight
where we can smell wafting smoke escaping
from woodstove chimneys in hidden hollows
below misted highlands we claim for our own
pen a poem with me, leaving reality to itself
my description transporting us to white sand
beaches kissed by melodic, turquoise waves
where the morning calls of gulls surround us
my hand held in yours while ocean breezes
play with the promise of a salt scented night
and intimate, leisurely companionship we crave
 
pen a poem with me, we will create our world
whisper in your verses of blissful revivifying
as green earth, blue sky blend on the horizon
until none can tell where either begins or ends
I will caress all your senses, renew your youth
with poetry of twilight and pewter moonlight
mystic golden candlelight dancing on four walls
in festive celebration of smooth music and love
I can smell your woodsy cologne and warm skin
your fingers twined within my wind tossed hair
as my lips softly, passionately welcome yours
and we’re lost in our poem so perfectly penned
