Poem Artwork

Father winter isn’t done
another storm has come
another layer of white stuff
another mood of winter’s gruff

Frozen lakes -
on ice we slither
like hibernating snakes
in desert land we wither.

We cannot warm those chili days
we cannot count on sunrays
to deliver any heat
so we crawl under the sheet
and take matters in our own hands…
…so to speak...

Such a gentle look at old man winter and his not so often, gentle approach. I like this poem very much. Good work. Again. Jon Michael Willey

Temperature here on the Long Island is over 60 degrees and we went through January without any snow, a first in 75 years. You sure can heat up things under the sheets.

:) At least you're under the sheets, instead of under a workbench, like many in the south ... what a way to heat up the atmosphere!! Well done, Rebecca.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
