So Tired

So tired...

Of trying to get through to you.

so i have decided not to

 

because it hurts each time i try

 

and you never see the tears i cry

 

washed away in Englands rain

 

you cannot feel the pain

 

which i must endure

 

humiliation like downpour

 

embarrasment like sunburn

 

oh will i ever learn

 

not to chase a rainbow

 

on a horse with no wings

 

to wake up alone

 

when the dawn call sings

 

to stay awake all night

 

because i feel so tight

 

inside my heart

 

since we have been apart

 

And all because of that first kiss

 

which you will never know

 

how much i miss you so

 

I must let go

 

we both know

 

to find another dream

 

but i don't want to

 

you made me choose

 

to be silent or to lose you

 

best i knew that sooner

 

than later

 

because then the loss

 

would have been greater

 

I want you now

 

but fate decided against that

 

somehow

 

God knows best

 

I wish i could get you

 

off my chest.
