Deaf…Once Again

Time keeps moving,
Eyes vacuous,
Clothing charred,
Feet naked.
Such is life’s tenuous reality,
Where hovering tomorrows lean precariously
Over hope’s narrow passage
Awaiting its own exploding demise.
Such a sinister house of cards this,
A seductive game of all in,
Innocence the stakes,
Hatefulness the ante.
Still…
Screams of fear
Continue overwhelmed by rockets,
The cyclic shrill warnings,
Merely routine habitude.
While…
Cultures'inbred hostility
Remains history’s DNA unsequenced,
Evolution’s unsolved mystery
Incubating more replication,
Destined to make man deaf…
Once again.
You and I will thankfully be gone if that ever happens.

although this idea is provocative and tactfully considered, I am fully convinced the problem is spiritual in nature. An age-old war, in the spirit, that has never been fully rectified. That time is nearing. Enjoying your work, Kent. Yours is a sharp and creative mind. Peace...
