Blinding Me Me Me
 
Beware of blinding light
Bigger
Louder
In your face light
Such becomes fractals of fear

Me Me Me fantasists
Rush to be enticed by
A mall's giant facilities
Larger portions
Shimmering seductions
Melding senses into blurs
As dreamers grab sustenance
Where synchronized musical fountains
Make food court dining an art

But like the Hopper Nighthawk diner
Such a menu does little to feed
Insatiable appetites of loneliness
Ravenous wanderers remain famished
Reduced to stuporous gaze

Accompanying the installation

Ceiling speakers amidst persuasive colored clouds
Deliver psycho-form-fitting-consumption-hymns
Permeating what little consciousness roams below
Imbuing glutinous political egos with chameleon emptiness

Anxious to advance
A rookie-like crew of adolescent politicians

Engulfed in perfumed cosmetic counter ambiance
Stare at their mirrored images
Applying contempt-drenched identification
