Creation’s Wager
Create with abandonment
While others wander among the colorless,
And all but your own inner voice deem you over the edge.
Color it sanity
When the child in your weathered heart
Waits patiently for the inordinate
To redden the veins of life again.
Layer it pure
In that space where imagination knows no boundary,
Ignoring the alternative precipice where
Without light,
Without shades,
Without hues,
And without color,
Mediocrity flourishes.
Share your words,
Dance,
Music,
Canvases,
Sculptures,
Stage,
Screen,
And integrity with the world,
Lest deserve an unearned death
From the dealer of chance.
