I can fully relate to this. And I know that it is the story of your life. When I think back on it, after so many bosses who fed off my ideas and definitely rejected the really good ones as being too risky… Sticking to the politically safe for climbing the ladder of success (on my back as the right-hand man).
The only time I had an office with a view, it was in a house and my office was the kitchen with the cabinets still in place. Nice windows all around. The rest of the time I only saw the sun when I went down the hall to the restroom or outside for a break.
So...? Did you get that corner office or did the upstart take away your dreamed for space...? Or is this just a bit of fiction interspersed with your dreams of that office...personally I worked on the road most of my later life and would find any office way too confining for my taste...if you need it, good luck, if you don't pass it on to someone else...-e-
