A young woman experiences the loss of her mother, and the pain
of being estranged from the only daddy she knew. This young lady''s
world seemed all so dark. In spite of the darkness, she began to
move forward, marrying at an early age to the gentleman who won
her heart. Very early in the marriage, her only son then grew
gravely ill and was diagnosed with meningitis. In spite of
the darkness which seemed to be closing in around her, she kept
holding on to hope. praying consistently to Abba Father. Things
kept on getting worse. Her second child was diagnosed with a
deformity, and the third child suffered from severe seizures. The
fourth child ! It seemed almost unbearable for the young woman to
see her youngest child not being able to function. What a harsh
reality but in spite of the darkness she continued to seek God and
to pray. What is so wonderful, this young woman learned to praise
and be thankful in spite of the darkness.. Yes, there were times
when the darkness seemed too much, and she felt like giving up.
Instead she fasted and prayed, she kept on studying the word. Some-
thing unusual happened very early one morning, her son who suffered
from seizures experienced a severe seizure while asleep. Having him
in her bed was very fortunate, she was able to assist him to some
degree until the ambulance arrived. At this point, this young lady
began to fall apart. It seemed to her God was too far away, and it was
just more than she could bear. She was giving up.....hope was fading.
Just at that very moment, the young woman felt a strong hand on her
shoulders. She heard a comforting voice saying to her "My grace is
sufficient for you, I am holding you up, I will carry you through".
The young woman''s tears stopped and immediately she felt a renewed
strength and courage to go on. Yes, God, who felt so far away is
present with her.....her hope returned. The young woman looked at
her four young children, seeing them for the first time the way her
heavenly Father saw them as fearfully and wonderfully made for a
specific purpose. Her prayers were no longer the same. Instead she
prayed..... "Father in the name of Jesus: She inserted each of her
children''s names". With His stripes each one of them were healed
for each child to fulfill their purpose and destiny. This young
woman never stopped praying this prayer. In spite of the darkness,
and the many nights of traveling back and forth to the hospital with
each of her children during the wee hours of the morning, with the
ambulance frequenting her home, yet she persevered in prayer and
fasting....staying in prayer.

Today....The oldest son, who suffered meningitis which left him
looking deformed has been completely healed. The second child suffered
a deformity in the leg, having to wear a brace around her waist, and
steel strapped to her legs with special made shoes. She has been
completely healed. The younger son who suffered from severe seizures
has been miraculously healed. The youngest daughter whom the doctors
diagnosed as having cerebral palsy and was told she would never walk
or talk. She is walking and talking.....Yes in spite of the darkness
this young woman stayed focused on Jesus Christ and on the word of God,
and her prayers were answered. The darkness which had eluded her at
times has turned into a bright light which could help others to get
through their darkness. When I reopened the book Seeds Of Hope 2 from
which I extracted this chapter.....I wept! Reflecting on from where
What Yahweh has brought me victoriously through. Now in what may seem
like the darkest time of your life......I challenge you to hold on to
your faith. Continue to pray and read the word of Yahweh...The God who
redeems you...read His word daily.....that in spite of the darkness in
your life.....you will be able to embrace the love and compassion of
your heavenly Father.....receiving His strength and grace to take you
through the darkness. Persistent prayer will light your path.....This
path is compared to lights on the runway of every airport helping air
planes to land safely in spite of the darkness. Keep on praying and
trusting in Yahweh, the true and the living God. Allow the light of
Jesus to shine brightly through you, so that someone will see the light
