Tears in 5 minutes by Loay Ragheb

I was spending time in a major book store three weeks ago. Standing beside the audio book section, a lady passes inform of me. She was looking for a certain audio book. I somehow was able to feel her energy bubble, and it radiated pain. I felt it and with the side of my eye kept observing. She found what she was looking for and began walking. That’s when I said: excuse me, may I ask you a question? To which she replied with a tone of surprise "Yes". After all in North America, speaking to strangers or strangers approaching you is considered strange. I said: what drove you to buy this particular audio book and not all the others? To which she explained how she came to know the author and was interested in this particular work. We were at the self help section and we simply began a wonderful conversation. I started sharing some of my thoughts, and I spoke about the concept of surrender which I touch on in my first book "The Higher You". She had difficulties with the concept. She seeks it, but doesn’t understand it. Deeper into the conversation, something amazing happened; she opened up, and began to share her pain. The tears began to fall but the conversation continued. We spoke of religion, God, the Abrahamic lineage and I expressed some of my own wisdom. At the end, we exchanged names and I mentioned my book. The conversation ended. I walked away in complete serenity. Next morning, I received an email from her expressing gratitude for the conversation, and inviting me to call her any time for a coffee conversation at the book store. I replied with enthusiasm and acceptance. Then I thought to myself, how strangers pass by us daily endless amount of humans, and we never try to connect. How can two strangers in less than 5 minute open up their wounds and allow tears to fall. We the human race, are composed of identical elements, and we do share at the core pain and always on the lookout for peace. We are tested often in life, and we feel confused, hurt, lost, and joyful as well. We are the human race; we are the most incredible creations and creators. Our days are the constant unfolding of the truth. The truth begins inside, and from within we shall all eventually rise from defeat. Allow the journey to begin.
