"Scott where is the phone book?" yelled Willow from the study room.
"How should I know?" Scott replied while walking into the room eating an apple.
"Because you had it last."
"Oh yeah, I did. It's in my room somewhere under my bed, I think. Have fun trying to find it."
"I'm not going in there. Something might eat me!"
"Like what?"
"Like your nasty shoes! Or I could fall into the swamp of clothing in there and never be seen again. I don't want to die by drowning in clothing. Now get me the phone book."
"Fine. Sheesh," muttered Scott as he went to get the phone book in his room.
"Yay, the phone book! Though, it only took you twenty minutes," Willow said when Scott came back.
"I'm going to ignore that. What do you need it for?"
"To call everybody named Victoria."
"Why?"
"The calendar says it's Victoria Day, therefore I must call everyone with that name and wish them happiness."
"For one thing that's a Canadian holiday; you don't live in Canada and are American. So that lacks sense; also I'm fairly sure they don't call everyone with the name Victoria and wish them happiness."
"Well that's too bad, 'cuz I'm gonna."
"Right. I'm not paying for your phone bills when Isis finds out."
"Oh well!"
And with that Willow proceeded to call everyone, asking if there was anyone with the name Victoria in the household. Which later caused her to owe Isis 5,000 dollars.
Homer's Ill Iliad & Odd Sea Odyssey (420 pages) is an adult satire/parody rewrite of the classic stories of the 10 year Trojan War and of the 10 year adventure of Odysseus trying to return home to his native Ithaca.
