The land is no more the same. Man is his weapon. The more dangerous the weapon is, the more dreadful the man is. War breaks out. Politics impose it on militaries and civilians alike. The politicians with their useless neckties go on delivering nonsense before the cameras.

A soldier (man or woman) is a person after all. They do not fear death. At least, they ask for a reason to die, which is not justified in most cases. When they went to war, our two symbolic characters, one as a soldier and the other as a rebel, they did it because it was their duty. The first was defending the regime. The second was fighting against it. To the first, they gave wages for it. The second was unemployed in spite of being better qualified. The disorder always begets conflicts. Both had chiefs they obeyed blindly. Although they belonged to different sides, they had a principle in common: kill only in self-defense.

Before going to war, the soldier said good bye to his wife and children. He could not cry in front of them. But, they cried as if they had just heard the news of his death. As for the rebel, he had nobody to say good bye to. The first bombards killed all his family. That is why he took the side of the rebellion, in whose cause he did not believe till that very moment. After long days of combat, our soldier and our rebel were still trying to survive. And, as they swore it to themselves, they killed only in self-defense. Fires, cries and pain reigned. It was like hell. At those short moments of relative silence, they thought about the things they did not take into account before the war. The representatives of both sides were about to reach an agreement. In the battlefield, there was no agreement but a continual killing of innocent civilians. Thousands of victims and millions of refugees, such was the logical result!

At last, the soldier and the rebel have to face each other. - I don’t want to kill you. Put down your weapon and surrender. -cried the soldier.
 - I don’t want to kill you either. Put down your weapon and surrender.
- I can’t do it. If you don’t kill me they’d do it! - That’s what I say! They were not far one from the other. A bomb exploded and killed both of them. The pilot and his aid cried of joy. They had just achieved a so-called high-risk mission! The agreement was signed at last. The representatives of the rebellion took part in the regime. The widows and the orphans of the soldiers as well as of the rebels will go begging in the streets.
