         Corporate Knight Ltd.

This is an addendum to the attached letter to Racquel Dunbar A.S. Dunbar, Attorney at Law, dated April 29, 2014.  (Copies of correspondences are enclosed)

On June 13th, 2014, the alleged and supposingly attached “Judgment” was handed down, and given to me,  Carlona Smith, widower of Randolph (Roy not Randy) Smith, Claimant and Defendant in this personal injury case.  After the “Judgment” verdict was given to me, by my attorney, Racquel Dunbar, Attorney at Law.  She wasted no time saying to me, “Even the Judgment is in my favor, it is going to take 7 days to a year before the Supreme Court of Jamaica, call me in to sign a “claim document” before a check can be issued to me on this claim case.”  I said to her, “another whole year!”  She knodded her head “yes.”  Thinking to myself, “this is not making any sense.”  She also said to me, “you are a lucky person Mrs. Smith.  There are cases filed years before yours, it just so happen yours was chosen before others.” If this be the case, how, and why did my husband’s case bypass all other cases? Could it have been because of the  enclosed letter written by my half sister, Joe Ann Davis and sent by my half sister to both Globe Insurance, now Guardian General, and by registered mail.” to Attorney, Racquel Dunbar, Attorney at Law, who is instructed by a Mr. G. Brandon, according to Ms. Dunbar, in an  early morning statement to me, on June 18, 2014.  

Moreover, Monday, June 16, 2014, I phoned Ms. Dunbar’s office and left a message with her secretary, for her to call me.  The following day, I called again.  I needed to ask a few questions and/or to leave another message.  The secretary asked if it was something she could help me with, the second time I called.  I told her yes.  “I’d like a  copy of the “Attorney’s Retainer Fee” where my husband signed for her, Ms. Racquel Dunbar to represent him as his attorney, in reference to the above accident claim.  

On Wednesday, June 18, 2014, Ms. Dunbar called my house around 6:30AM, early morning, advising me who to call for a copy of the “attorney’s retainer fee.”  According to Ms. Dunbar, she is instructed by another person, at which time she gave me a telephone number to a Mr. G. Brandon.  I believe Gregg G. Brandon.  Mr. G.. Brandon was referred to my husband by a Mr. David Engledew,  an Accountant for Pings, and international fabric/material wholesale place.  Where I was employed as a cook, the day my husband was severely injured.  David Engledu, is the person who took the necessary protocols and documentations i.e.  photos and measured distances etc., the day my husband was badly hurt, by a driver worked for then, Corporate Knight Ltd., a security corporation here in Kingston.  Mr. Engledu knows more about the medical aspects of this case, and  perhaps MORE than I,  as he introduced Roy, my husband to Dr. Minot, a well known   Orthopedic Surgeon,  on staff at St. Joseph Hospital,  here in Kingston, Jamaica.  My husband was having severe medical problems after the accident and more so after his release from Kingston’s Public Hospital.  According to medical records, my husband severely fractured leg, was crushed,  and his bones were not properly placed,  for his leg, and foot to heal properly.   Dr. Minot, an Orthopedic Surgeon, who concluded that my husband had a 10% permanent disability,  as a result of the accident and having to have more operation, after being released from the Public hospital.  I realize now, what must have taken place.  I remember when my husband’s leg set up infection, to the point where the whole leg was turning inward,  as it was healing, shortly after he was released from the “Public Hospital.”  These medical records are in the office of David Engledu,  Pings’ Accountant. I am sure of it.    Significantly, on Thursday, June 19, 2014,  I phoned Mr. Engledu, and he commended me on my “judgment.” as if he knew nothing about the informaton letter my sister faxed/sent to Globe Insurance and “Registered Mailed” to Racquel Dunbar Attorney at Law Office.  .

After acquiring some free legal advice, we’ve  learned GLOBE is now Guardian General.  It is no longer Globe Insurance.   God is telling me to seek and you shall find.  Knock and a door will be opened.  Ask and it shall be given.  Which means in layman term, “We, my sister and I are not comfortable with what Ms. Racquel  Dunbar  and her instructors are telling us.  Why would the Supreme Court of Jamaica Judge pass down a Judgment, in my favor, and I must wait another year to come back to the Court to sign off on something to receive a CLAIM CHECK.  Nothing is making sense legally and/or lawfully to me or my family.  We are  wonder why I must wait another year to receive  the actual CLAIM CHECK from the Court from my husband’s, claim.  Isn’t it the Insurance company that pays the claim, and the COURT by and through the appointed Judge is the mediator?  When I think back over many  incidents,  after the accident, there may have been a “malpractice” lawsuit,  that maybe,  I have not been made aware of by either Racquel Dunbar, David Engledu and Greg G. Brandon.  Just for the records, this is just speculation. Yet speculation, are often times, realization, because it was the Public Hospital, my husband was rushed to, after the accident, and he was there a while for medical care for broken bones all over his body deriving from this accident, with Alton Young and Corporate Knight Ltd. My sister and I are still waiting for a copy of the “attorney retainer’s fee form” to arrive in the mail.  This is a form a client must sign, when he or she is retaining and/or hiring an attorney for legal representation.  When I inquired about this form to Ms. Dunbar, informed me that Mr. Brandon, who she works for, have the papers  We are not sure if it is the G. Brandon  aka Gregg G. Brandon, who has, 1001 – 5000 attorneys working under him in different aspects of the law in different  states in the United States and apparently here in Jamaica.  If it is him, maybe he should be investigated by the State Department.  His website is . www.linkedin.com/pub/gregg-g-brandon.  Just for the record, I am fighting for what is  lawfully and legally mines.  Yet, about  2 years ago, a friend of mines,  ran into each other.  He said to me, “I won my case claim  three years ago,  but I have not received any money from it yet!”  Similar to my claim/case.  .    .  .

On Friday, June 20, 2014, my sister, telephoned Mr. Brandon.  According to her, when she introduced herself, she could tell he, was trembling as if he has done something illegal,  and now it had caught up with him.  She asked him about the Judgment handed down, as he repeated the same things  Dunbar told my sister and me in a conversation, after our the June 13, 2014, Judgment was suppose to be in my favor.  He made it a point to tell my sister he’d spoken with Ms. Dunbar, about the  Judgment  supposingly handed down by  a Jamaican Supreme Court Judge.  Yet, he never touched basis with me as he said he would, after speaking with Mrs Dunbar.    Apparently, she phoned him early according to my sister, and they discussed whatever. Yet, both are saying and telling me the same things and that is:  the COURT must call me in to sign a claim check release form.  When my sister inquired about the retainer fee, Mr. Brandon, said to her,  “I can tell you what percentage the lawyer fee is.”  She said.  NO!   Please send it in writing with the sign “attorney retainer’s  fee” signed by my husband, Randolph (Roy) Smith.  .    It is the responsibility of the legal counselor to supply and make sure their clients are receiving the best legal advice possible when legal affairs/matter arises.   If my husband didn’t sign a “retainer fee,” with Mr. Gregg G. Brandon,  whom I’ve never met, as Ms. Dunbar alleges.  Than,  how could they work on a personal injury case legally?  This question is directed to the Director of Public Persecution, Paula Llewllyn, and/or and Chief Justice, Lalia McKala of the SUPREME COURT OF JAMAICA!  

 Ironic as it may seem, Mr. David Engledu, Ping’s Accountant,  has all of my husband’s medical files, as he seemed to have been very helpful in both situations (the car accident, and in referring my husband to Dr. Minot, the Orthopedic Surgeon, who is on staff at another hospital, namely St. Joseph, Hospital, here in Jamaica.  Moreover, and during a telephone conversation with Mr. Engledu on June 18, 2014, he commended me on the judgment and thanked me for calling,  and he said something that have stuck with me and that is:  “Mrs. Smith, you know you’ve received some money already.” I do remember Engledu buy, crutches, and other medical item, but I never knew it was money from the case.  Yet, the accrued interest date mentioned in the “judgment” is starting from June 21 2007

Consequently, I’ve had to involve everyone I know  legally and lawfully, for my spirit is telling me something is so very WRONG, another year to wait again.  According to Ms. Dunbar, the letter my sister wrote her, and faxed to GLOBE Insurance, got out to other lawyers/attorneys in the Kingston’s Communities, and I assume it brought shame and seemed very offensive to many lawyers,  and not so offensive to others.  For those who found the letter offensive, I apologize NOW in advance.  But for those legal counselors who have turned a blind eye, to illegal activities, (if any),  I pray, your deceitful past, catches up with you by GOD Grace through Jesus Christ!  Psalm 37… (the whole Chapter) because I, along with my sister sense a more sinister, unlawful, and corrupted legalities are going on with CLAIM# 207HCV 023332.  Either Racquel, Dunbar, Attorney at Law, David Engledu, and G. Brandon,  and all parties involved, have settled the Claim with Alton Young & Corporate Knight LTD, (Globe Insurance) and didn’t tell or let  me or my husband know, and since the letter my sister wrote emerged, all parties involved are trying to cover up. Again, this is just speculation.  Yet, speculation can become realization.   Yet, we are asking the  Director of Public Persecution, Paula, Llewllyn, Director of Persecution and, Chief Justice, Lalia McKala to call for full investigation to support not only my/our suspicions, but for the elderly citizens, who has no one to fight for them, and are being taken advantage of, .in the worst kind of  way (poverty).  Yet, I’d like to ask the SUPREME COURT OF JAMAICA several questions.  On the last page of the “Judgement” an alleged COURT DOCUMENT, THAT IS NOT TYPED ON “THE SUPREME COURT OF JAMAICA  LETTER HEAD.   IT IS NOT “STAMPTED DATED” LIKE MOST COURT DOCUMENTS I’VE SEEN THAT ARE/IS FILED IN A COURT.  A CLERK ALWAYS DATE STAMP THE DOCUMENTS, THIS MEANS IT IS FILED IN THAT COURT LAWFULLY AND LEGALLY.  FINALLY, THE JUDGEMENT IS JUST ON PLAN WHITE TYPING PAPER, WITH NUMBERED NOTATIONS.  My sister and several legal advisors, outside of Jamaica have brought this  to my attention.  Iron Sharpens Iron…..IS THIS LEGAL?  Yet, it reads on line 35:  General Damages:  Pain & Suffering and Losses of Amenities $2, 600,00.00, with 3% interest from the 21 of June 2007. Who pays the interest on this money me or the court?  Why is this interest being paid on this money? Where did the money come from, for it to accumulate interest?  For what reason is the interest being paid?  From what financial institution?   If this case is not settled with GLOBE Insurance, where does the interest come in at, and for what reason?  When I think back, one million dollars was given to David Engledu for payment of medical bills, etc., and the day we spoke, he mentioned this to me. I feel I am being misled legally and financially.   Further, will I be charged for these medical bills all over again, and how will I know if I am not being charged all over again? Please don’t tell me to ask my legal counselor, Racquel Dunbar.  I am still awaiting a signed copy of an “retainers fee,”  I have no record of signed document from Racquel Dunbar or G. Brandon, saying my husband gave them the okay to represent him.  No record…

To date, I have not heard anymore from Racquel Dunbar, Attorney at Law.  Nor did  I received a phone call from Mr. Brandon on June 20, 2014, after he said he was given Ms. Dunbar until time to contact him, at which time he would contact me.  This was his comment to me on June 18th.   I have not heard one word from Mr. G. Brandon, who is Racquel Dunbar’s instructor.  I don’t have a law degree, but with all I’ve learned about the law within the last two months, regarding this particular case, how the law can be for you,  and it also works against you.  Come like a catch 22 situation.  Seniors citizens Included.  Something unlawful is going on with this case and I need the Chief of Justice, Zalia McKala’s support to find out. What if  Mr. Brandon doesn’t have a signed “attorney retainers fee” form in his files, signed and dated by Randolph (Roy) Smith, my husband?  What than must I do legally and lawfully as his widower, to get this matter resolved favorably?  So I can move on with my life. I have less days ahead of me,  than I have behind me?  I’d like to live the rest of my days spiritually aware of GOD’s grace and peacefully aware that I am spiritually safe from, “hurt, harm and danger, and not think about the unlawful and illegal aspects,  life has to offer when one is old and taken advantage of.  Yet, I am the “innocent sufferer” because my husband and child have succeeded me in death.  People who are living suffers, not the people who are dead!

Conclusively, there are many questions my family/relatives, and other attorneys are asking me.  Many of them I can not answer, because I don’t honestly know the  TRUE facts.  .  Yet, I am confused by what is happening in writing from the JAM.” .  There are many aspects in Roy’s case, that is not adding up and I don’t need a rock AICAN’S COURT, ALLEGLY, verses what I am told by my so called attorney, who claims that another man. whom she works for have the “attorney retainers fee form,” Surely, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to tell me what I am seeing, nor what I am feeling. If and when this case is investigated to the fullest, and the Hierarchies  find there are not any misleading and/or unlawful activities going on, I am apologizing advance.  But if there are/is “reason(s) to doubt,” even after this information is passed on to the Chief Justice Department, than it must be investigated to the fullest, because there are no documented statistics on how many people, young , senior citizen, elderly people in this county,  who have since passed  on, been scandal, scammed and financially exploited by some corrupt legal counselors in this country.  It is so very unfair, for us, the elderly, and senior citizens, some of are handicapped in Jamaica,  to keep on paying high taxes, on food, property taxes, water bill, electric bills, etc., and GOD only knows what else we are paying, yet, and still we are not coming up as a people to keep Jamaica afloat.   I watch the daily news and read newspapers.  We, in poor communities across Jamaica are having to deal with starvation, unemployment, raw sewage, streets with large holes, Caribbean Coastal lines are filled with all sorts of debris and air pollution.  And all I am hearing is who has taken the money and/or the funds wasn’t used for they were called for.  What about our children and their children.  What type of future will they have in Jamaica? .  When the public schools our children attend, are not even safe and are being  torched.   ` Yet, when a good Samaritan stand up for CHANGE in this country, “A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER,” he is gunned down, killed like Martin Luther King was killed in the USA, because he stood up for CHANGE.   When will there ever be a change in this country for the poor people, the widowers, senior citizen, a change where we can truly see and feel a CHANGE.  I am on my way out, but Lord have mercy on the ones who are on their way into this world.  I agree with the Chief Justice, Judge, Lalia McKala_comments on how the community’s feedback helps to legislate laws, thereby making the communities we live in better economically.   There is nothing wrong with being an “informant” especially if it is make a CHANGE for us all,  for the betterment of the Jamaican people.  The Bible says in Dueteronomy 29 verse 29, “the secret things belong unto the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed, belong unto us and our children forever, that we my do all the words of the law.”  Again, what about our children?  How can children respect parents, when shame of criminal and illegal are starting from the TOP and flowing down to the bottom?”  Could it be that some of the Judges who mediates these accident and incident cases in civil cases, such as this one, are involved.  If so, poor people in this country are doomed for REAL!    

As of Jume 24, 2014, I’ve not received the phone call Mr. G. Brandon, Racquel Dunbar’s Attorney at Law instructor promised.  Giving the benefit of the doubt, just maybe he’ll produce the signed “attorney retainers fee” and dropped it in the mail, as he said he would.        

My husband died and innocent being an innocent sufferer.  I am crying to day, because I am the “innocent suffer.”  Because not only has it been ten years since the accident, Ms . Dunbar says even though, a “Judgment” is handed in my favor, by law and through the Court,  it will take another year for me to be awarded what the Judge said in Court Room 17, on June 13, 2014, I am to get.  The Judge never told me I must wait another year to receive a settlement/claim that is lawfully and legally due me, according to law and the Jamaican Supreme Court, Kingston, Jamaica.  Ms. Dunbar also mentioned to me and my sister that:  “accident victim cannot file a claim until six years after the accident, and there is no statute of limitations.”   Is this true led or on  investments indeed?  Again, I am 80 odd years of age. My husband died, worried that he was not a whole man because he never got the a chance again in life to help supply medical needs or his family.  He died feeling sorry for himself.  Yet,  I am asking GOD’s  to drench Divine FAVOR  on this matter for me.  Thank you for your time Director of Public Persecution, Paula Llewllyn  and Honorable Chief Justice Lalia McKala,  Supreme Court of Jamaica.  Plead the elderly’s cause!   Please! Psalm 35.
