A seveenteen year old girl finds that a bad situation gets worse.

"Right then, well I'll take you into town" said the old guy, trying to pretend nothing had happened. Jen was in such a state of shock, she new she wanted to get away from him but somehow she thought that if she could just endure the car ride then she would be able to get away. She got in his car and they drove to town, neither of them muttering a word. Jen's thoughts turned to her Dad and brother, she couldn't tell them, How would her Dad react if he found out his daughter had been taken advantage of. They arrived in town. A very relieved Jen got out of the car, realising that she had probably been pretty stupid to get in the car with him.

The next hour or so Jen wandered around the indoor shopping centre in a daze not believing what had happened. She wanted to cry but there was no where private and she was worried other shoppers would want to know what was wrong, Then Jen saw some police officers walking by. Part of her was beginning to feel angry and wanted to confide in them so he would be reprimanded but Jen couldn't bear the thought of being interviewed and all the aftermath, she also felt for the guy's wife and wondered what on earth his grandaughter who was the same age as Jen would have thought, as Jen thought how she would react if she found out that her grandfather had kissed his seventeen year old next door neighbour (not that he had one).

Jen knew the only person she could confide in was Scott and she desperately wanted to call him,  but how would he take the news. She had no change so went to change the ten pound note the old guy had given her for the bus fare home so she could use the public telephones. As the name suggests though they were very public telephones and Jen really wanted some privacy but not to be. She arrived at the first telephone where an elderly lady was on the phone, Ten minute later she was still on the phone with no sign of stopping. How long does she need thought Jen willing her to end the conversation, did she not know how important her call was. Obviously the answer to that question was a long time and Jen decided to walk to the other phone and try that one,  Another old lady was using this one, as Jen waited getting more and more desperate she just wanted to shout "GET OFF THE (swearword) PHONE but managed to just glare at the poor woman instead. Finally she left and with hands trembling she phoned Scott who was by now 3 hours drive north.

Scott could tell immediatly that something was wrong and told Jen to calm down and tell him what had happened. Jen relayed the story, Scott was obviously angry but kept calm for Jen and asked if she wanted him to come back. Jen would have loved him too she just wanted to be in his safe arms but knew that by the the time he had driven back her dad and brother would be home so told him "no" Scott reasured her that she had done nothing wrong and that the old guy's actions were very wrong and that he would see her the next day. Jen felt better having spoken to Scott, but anger was begining to well up inside her and she didn't know how she was going to pretend everything was ok when she got home.

Jen made sure that she got a bus that would get her home way after her Dad and brother, not wanting to be standing outside waiting to be preyed on again. She managed to hold it together until there was a knock on the door. It was the old guy next door, asking for his money back that he had lent her for the bus fare. HOW DARE HE, how could he have the audacity to come over and speak to her Dad and ask for his money back. Jen's Dad walked back into the room. "Jen you didn't tell me he had lent you some money" That was it Jen could take it no longer she ran up to her room and out of her mouth came an amazing amount of swear words that she had no idea she knew and wasn't even sure if some of them actually were swear words. Somehow she managed to keep it from her family. How would they have reacted, She'd never know.
