Flirting with neighbors ( excerpt from my book, Life Goes out of Style)
Well that`s not the end of Mr. " Don Juan". This all took place in Bakersfield, Calif. where he had rentals. He lived in L.A. Cal., so when he came to Bakersfield, he was alone. He didn`t learn anything from the shooting. Two years later he got in a fight with another neighbor for the same reason. Since there were no guns, the neighbor just bit off his finger during the fight, for flirting with his wife. After that we didn`t call him “Don Juan" any more. We called him “Dedo Mocho”. In Spanish it means chopped finger. After that he sold his rentals and we never saw “Dedo Mocho again.
