I wrote this in April of 2002 when my children turned 1 year old...
Ahhh yes, the joys of parenthood, my children are spoiled rotten.
My two boys are about 12 months old now, they are very active - always running and leaping about. They prefer to walk on all fours, but do so with great speed and agility. Nothing is safe from them, no matter how high I place it on a shelf - they always seem to find it.
They love to chew on blankets and fingers.
My babies are also very affectionate, they love to be hugged, and they always give lots of kisses. I always spoil them, buying them new toys or special treats while I'm at the store. My babies love their cereal, and especially enjoy chicken and turkey. They are always are happy when I come home with some soy milk for them. They even like vegetables...Broccoli is their favorite.
They are my little night owls.
They prefer to stay up all night and play, instead of going to sleep. They keep me up all night when they decide to test out their vocal cords. They make some of the strangest noises I have ever heard. Even though they stay up all night, they do however, like to take afternoon naps. They would sleep most of the day away if I would let them.
I am an over protective parent.
When I wanted to bring my babies outside, to play in the grass on warm days, I went and purchased one of those little harnesses and a leash for each of them. You should see the looks I receive when I walk down the street proudly with my babies. Sometimes people chuckle, others just laugh, but every so often someone just smiles and nods knowingly. People seem to really like my boys; they always tell me how beautiful they look or comment on how friendly they are.
People tell me they are big for their age.
Even though my little boys are twins, they have very completely different personalities. Tobias is the adventurous one - always finding someway to get in to trouble. He likes to throw things in the air just to watch them fall, and he likes to spill his water all over the floor. His brother, Sebastian is such a little "mama's boy". He prefers to be sitting on my lap to watch television or to check out I'm doing on the computer. Sebastian is a little more vocal than Tobias, and he often yells at me if I leave the room for too long during the day. Both are very curious and mimic everything I do - from opening doors to answering the phone.

I was close! LOL I thought you were talking about dogs! I'm a HUGE animal lover and I know exactly how you feel. My three cats, "my girls" as I call them, are my furry babies and I can't imagine being without them. :-) APril
