Blake stumbled to the front door to begin his first blind date. Sarah had hired a designated driver from Vague’s List named, Ticket Master. She didn’t know its’s real name, or gender, and she could care less.
Sarah liked Blake at first sight. “you must be Blake.”
Blake said. “Dah.” He loved the timbre of Sarah’s voice. Ticket Master headed for the Dented Anchor. The itinerary noted: great seafood place. Blake started feeling Sarah up… At first, she was shocked, then she remembered Blake couldn’t see. She relaxed. Blake was growing up fast. He started at her feet and ankles, and studied them for several minutes; then, he felt the smooth slick texture of Sarah’s freshly shaved calves. Sarah giggled ‘this could be fun’ she thought.
Blake felt that funny feeling that rose uninvited and crashed the party. Sarah jammed her elbow against Blake’s Adam’s Apple.
“You won’t eat nothin tonight bitch, if you keep that up.” She growled. Sarah slowly removed her elbow from Blakes’s kill zone.
Blake still thought things were going well, but he knew he was in over his head. He lost his appetite. The last thing he wanted was hostility on their first date. ‘Think positive’. He thought. ‘Maybe she’s into bondage’.
Sarah felt strong, in control. Her self-defense classes had paid off. She liked the feel of Blakes hand on her calves, but her calves at home didn’t. She sensed them growing restless in her underground mini-zoo, tunneled in, expanding, magnificent. The micro Giraffes were restless, and the Rjompes, too. But Sarah was a Jaguar, she yearned to break free, she was hungry, but Blake wasn’t on the menu. She enjoyed the bugs and rodents she hunted at night just above the hidden zoo. Sarah questioned her discernment about accepting her first blind date: a dinner date. It was feeding time, and she was hungry. She bit Blake on his neck, just enough to draw blood.
Blake felt the sting, she slapped at the spot. “Sarah where in the hell are you?” He screamed. Ticket Master floored it. Sarah scampered under the driver’s seat. She growled. Blake couldn’t here her amidst the roar of the engine, and t sirene. Blue lights flashed, and Ticket Master's rainbow ceiling lights, sent Blake spinning into a horrifying psychadelic nightmare. The officer handing Ticket Master his one one hundreth speeding ticket of the first quarter. Blake pretended to be a wood carving sitting in the back seat for delivery.
“Ticket Master, where is Sarah? What happened?"
Sarah said. “I’m right here, dopey. Ticket Master, get me home; this date is over. Sorry, Blake, I liked you at first, but I’m not so sure now. I’m not saying I don’t won’t to ever see you again, but maybe we could dine in next time, if I do.”
Blake was at a loss for min d. Forget words. He signed. He would be fine. He had gone mute. Blake exhaled and he kept exhaling, untill they were a block away from Sarah’s house. Sarah was silent, but almost purring like a cat. Blake was quite relieved when the car stopped. He started to get out to say goodnight.
Sara said. “That’s alright. I’ll run to the door.” She was gone, at the blink of a cat’s eye.
Jake, unbalanced, out of his mind, felt his way to his car, which he had to park one block away, on a side street: that was the rule. When Blake reached his car and closed the door. He snapped off his blindfold. He floored it. The screeching tires sounded like Dracula's wolves. Blake pounded on the door of his mind, an irritated voice said. “No Vacancy.”
