This is a true story which recently happened in which I could have been hurt but was saved by my Guardian Angel.
L O V E ' D E M I S E
This is a story of near mishaps. Call it an attack by Satan, and/or protection by my Guardian Angel, Megan. I named her after myself for she is my shadow, she goes wherever I go.
The first attack was a call from the operator saying I had a collect call from the prison. I thought WOW I know no one in prison. Then I heard what sounded like MOM and I quickly hung up the phone; which is what I usually do when I don't want to receive a call.
Then, after that, while taking a nap, I was awakened by a black, round face smiling at me in my picture window of the living room. After asking him what was it he wanted, he mumbled something I could not understand; so I left the room and started toward the carport door which enteres into my kitchen. When I reached there he was a far piece down the street. That was a good thing for it would have been a mistake to open that door. However, as he left, I could see a scarf hanging from his back pocket. Did he mean me harm, I do not know.
Then shortly after that the security alarm went off in the middle of the night which frightened me. My little dog, Rocky, usually awakens and barks at the slightest noise. But he was sound asleep, I thinking he was dead. Checking with the police and security, I was informed it had misfired.
That morning I went out to see if anything was amiss I saw a large black dog, no collar running down the middle of the street. Thinking he had gone on, I preceeded out and was looking at the flowers and here comes, by leaps and bounds, this big back dog who came up to me and proceeded to beg for some attention. I petted him on the head and tried to shoo him away but he would but go He then put his two paws on my shoulders. I am a mere five feet and he towered over me at about six feet, licking me on the face. I fell backward and he fell on top of me . I had only a bruised nose but had I hit my head on the oncrete porch near by, I could have been seriously hurt. I made my way back to my door but he continued to follow me and tried to block me and then to follow me into the house. I finally got inside and called the police who told me to call the dog shelter. They sent a dog catcher to pick him up and told me he was a gorgeous black labador and he would try to find his owner or a good home. I later saw an elderly man walking down the street. Most people are elderly and walk for exercise. There is an ordiance, no dogs without leach or collar allowed loose in the city.
The point is, why did so many mishaps happen in rapid succession. Also, my being elderly, I could have broken my back legs or arms, in the fall. So you can see we have danger everywhere even innocent danger.
Oh well, that is my story and all is well that ends well. Thank you Megan for protection and so far I am doing alright.
