Walked into the bowling alley, hoping to find a seat. We wanted to check out the local talent. They've been doing their own version of Idol for four years, and we finally decided to see what it is all about. Glow bowlers bowled behind us, trying for that lucky strike, and singers hoping to strike it rich and win the $1,200 first prize were on the big screen in front of us. There was no room in the main room where they were actually performing, but we didn't mind.
We watched a bloated looking buck tooth stage mama at the table in front of us totally trying to control the situation, as her lesbian daughter held hands with her obviously smitten lover at the next table.
And the one contestant we recognized from our area was buzzing around both rooms like a queen bee thinking she is all that with her Mickey Mouse high pitched but always on pitch voice. Another female singer seemed suspiciously like a transexual and that had us wondering more about that than about whatever song heshe performed. Another gal held up a penny, and in the middle of her song told us it was her lucky penny from her three year old son, who incidentally was running around all evening. Hope she gets voted off soon. A skinny dude with a huge white cowboy hat surprised us the most, us meanly thinking he would be a joke, but the joke was on us 'cause he could flat out sing, even got a standing ovation. The wide waisted, fishnet gloved honey who thought she was an exotic dancer instead of a singer did get voted off. What was she thinking.
God, I can't wait to go again next week...putting others down to make myself feel better...now, that's entertainment.
LOL Reminds me of the time I went bowling. I do gutterballs myself, but Karla my twin laughs at me because when I bowl, I am spastic. Try bowling on two crutches...t'ain't easy, McGee! LOL Funny write; am keeping this one! Enjoyed~!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
