This is the story of his exciting journey.
Reggie was good at his job but three of the other child mannequins Smithy, Rudy and Gemmy laughed at him because he was the smallest out of all of them. They often said to him “people don’t want to see clothes on a BABY mannequin!”
At first Reggie felt upset by their cruel taunting. He believed them and thought to himself how can I make humans want to see me s the others? He thought about it for days and nights. Finally it came to him as he watched two children playing outside his window. He knew exactly what he would do; he would go outside Gummidges, mix with humans and become like them. And then people would flock from miles just to see him. He would be the most popular of all the mannequins.
He knew he couldn’t tell any of the other mannequins in case they ruined it for him. So that night Reggie waited for the shop to close. When he was sure they were all sound asleep, he stiffly made his way to the room where the old mannequins were kept before being sent out to be destroyed or rebuilt. As they were all in pieces they couldn’t blow his cover. He knew he would have to lose an arm or a leg in order to be sent out, which he wasn’t quite happy about, but he thought being free would be worth it .So he carefully detached his left arm and put it beside him, thinking he could sneak it back on again later. He fell peacefully asleep thinking of the big adventure that lay ahead of him.
