This is a true story of how God rescued a wayward trucker only to use him to make an impact throughout the inner streets of America, which branched into ministry worldwide.
DIVINE ENCOUNTERS III

My name is Dr. Jerry W. Hulse, and I am licensed as an International Evangelist with Miracle Life Church International. Apostle Don Stewart and Bishop Ping Alba personally mentored me.

In my over 43 years as an over-the-road driver and mechanic in the trucking industry, I have had many supernatural encounters with the living God, which would make one rethink the law of physics.

I am sharing one of those encounters with you in this story, which I pray will cause you to take a measuring stick off of the God who declares in Ephesians that he can do exceedingly abundantly more than our three-pound human mind can imagine.

Beloved, I have experienced many manifestations of the Holy Spirit in my more than 43 years as a professional driver.

In 1995, I returned to ministry after a more than seven-year nervous breakdown, taking the CB radio call sign “The Guardian Angel.”

I used this call sign, or we call it “handle” in trucker language, because while in this nightmare that seemed there was no end to where I would wake up with my fingers drawn up like someone with severe arthritis, the Lord sent Angels to me just like the TV series “Touched By An Angel.”

Yes, these would be messengers from God who identified themselves to me as being sent by the “Lord God Jehovah,” they used his name with Holy reverence while speaking to me.

Beloved, when I made a comeback in ministry, God opened doors for me in radio and TV, and did you know that he would do creative miracles through my programs without me knowing it?

This caused the stations to be flooded with calls and letters.

I never used my real name in any of my programs, outreaches, or magazine articles written about me, for my thought was, “If God thinks that much of me to allow me to meet Angels on several occasions, significantly when I believed death would be a gift to me through all the heartache, rejection and mistreatment I had to endure since a young teen.

Dear readers, I would use the name “Guardian Angel in everything I undertake to do in his ministry, and that is why I feel led to share this true story of how God chose to use me in such a way that many people were left shaking their heads and rethinking their relationship with God.

God opened doors for me to minister for over twenty years, wearing my original Indiana Jones hat throughout the inner cities of America, including Knoxville, Tennessee, and Atlanta, Georgia.

I recall an occasion in the 1990s while running a trip from Kingsport, Tennessee, to North Carolina. I was transporting a heavy load of filter tow to a cigarette production factory in North Carolina.

Filter tow is what they make the filters out of for their cigarettes. The trailers were usually maxed out, causing the vehicle to weigh every bit of forty tons.

The trip would take more than four hours or more by interstate, but I, being a native of East Tennessee, had spent most of my trucking life running freight across the surrounding mountains into the state of North and South Carolina.

This evening, I decided to run through the mountains, which would shave almost two hours off my trip, but the roads were very steep and curvy.

The route would take me through Newland, North Carolina, where I would catch US Highway 181 through Jonah’s Ridge south, maneuvering around steep, dangerous, curvy roads through a tourist site where you could park and see the famous Brown Mountain Lights.

For years, our government studied and attempted to identify the mysterious lights, which some folk tales say are someone carrying a lantern through the mountains looking for something.

Beloved, navigating this road in a big rig with your smoking brakes is nearly impossible, and there are steep drop-offs. You can call yourself a trucker if you navigate even one of the sharp curves, especially with a heavy load.

I remember getting close to being within several miles of the bottom when I noticed that I was losing air in my right steering tire.

Going down this steep incline shook me, and I noticed the gauge showing the tire pressure on my dash.

It showed a leak in my right steering tire. Lord, let it be any tire, but not one of the ones I need to steer this big rig down this mountain.

Beloved, if it had blown out instead of a slow leak, I would not have been able to hold it on the road, especially with nearly six tons of weight (12,000 lbs.) on my steering axle.

Surprisingly, it stayed up until I made the sharp curve at the bottom, and I steered it off to a little pull-off area.

Thank God for my life as I wiped the sweat from my brow. The company called me for a service truck to bring me a tire, and when he showed up, he told me that he was unhappy that he had been called out because he had plans to be in his church.

After all, they were going to have a special prayer for his wife, who needed a heart transplant.

It all started to make sense to me, and I informed him of my call to miracle ministry and that the living God had brought the church to him.

Beloved, we exchanged information, and it was not long until he sent me messages that she began to show improvement at the last minute before they were about to give up on finding her a donor.

With further tests, the doctors decided that her old heart was showing signs of life and that she would not need the transplant.

Somebody reading this, I do not know what you or one of your loved ones may be facing, but I do know that I have had years of experience watching God do the super miraculous, which prepared me for the international ministry chosen for me before the foundation of the world.
