Sherlock’s nemesis
Evil lurks on foggy streets
London cannot sleep
Fear strikes at the heart of London, the poor souls simply do not know what to do to stop the mean and vile Professor Moriarty. For the first time in years, the citizens of London are afraid to leave their homes after dark. In the meantime, Sherlock Holmes and his trusted friend Dr. Watson are busy at their residence, searching for a plan to put London’s latest crime spree to an end.

Clues reveal the truth
“Watson I do believe we are close…very close, so we must keep digging for answers; our persistence will pay off”. Dr. Watson, tired but determined, replied, “Right on, Holmes, but let us for just a moment stop for a spot of tea.” Sherlock Holmes stood straight up and yelled, “That’s it Doctor, a spot, a line, a little twist, by Jove! Watson, I think we have it”. Both men continued working until the wee hours of the morning. Out on the streets, however, it was dark and scary, a place where sane people would be fearful, a place indeed where even the police were highly afraid of venturing towards. The streets of London had been reborn to where evil lurked on every street corner.

Holmes pleas for cool heads
The Police Gazette reports that Professor Moriarty has been seen near Piccadilly Square, but it has not been confirmed. “Wild, unsubstantiated nonsense” is what Inspector Lestrade believes, but to be sure, he has called in every available officer. No stone shall go unturned in apprehending Moriarty and his despicable evil doers. The railroad station is on guard, patrols along the docks are tripled, and while confidence is raising that soon, very soon, London will be freed of this evil venom, arrogance and over confidence is highly guarded.

Holmes was right! The dragnet spread across London paid off. The mad professor was disguised as a street sweeper down on Baker Street, Watson first noticed that it was odd how this lonely old lady, bent and shriveled from a hard life, was by herself, compounded by the oddity was that for the longest time she swept the same place, not moving more than a few feet in any direction. Meanwhile, Holmes dressed as a drunken vagrant stumbled against the old gal, just long enough to steal away a small amount of skin, by scratching her arm. When the vagrant apologized for his awkward behavior, Moriarty was annoyed and angry, but just passed it off as another pest that litters the city street. By this time the shadows lurking on the street corners, were the police, waiting for word from Dr. Watson. Word that he had the proof he needed that the little old street sweeper was none other than the evil, vile, contemptuous Professor Moriarty. Lestrade and his officers swept in quickly, taking the crime czar of London away in chains. “I say Holmes, how did you come up with the idea to match skin samples?” “Elementary, my dear Watson, I had taken skin samples from his last victim, saving it in this little dish, yes, elementary indeed!” Pleased as punch, inspector Lestrade beams with delight by adding, “Perhaps police agencies around the world will use your idea to catch the bad guys”. Tonight the citizens of London will sleep safely.
