Everything was a.o.k. with this little winner except for two sticking notes the dealer blamed on the key slip. In most cases the wood rim that supports the keys could have been too tight causing this problem, but upon further investigation, there was a bit more to do. Tech Karl Wolfe supported by Kawai "desk jockeys," a term used by a veteran tuner in South Carolina to describe the company support team on 1-800 dial up, spent all of 6 hours to get the keys unhitched. In the end, it was Wolfe who figured it out all by himself. He had to pull the action and adjust the dampers behind it. A routine call to Kawai following the repair added to its data base.
