Have you ever forgotten some fact or event and wish there was someone you knew that could remember those missing elements of the past?

In the beginning born in Haversham Estates there is such a person and her name is Matilda Josephine Morris. The very elegant and poised Ms. Morris had resided at Thornberg House on the Avon for eons. Nobody knows exactly how long, but she has seen and heard many, many things.  Her memory rarely, if ever fails her. Not many times in her adult life, which some say is over 100 years, has she forgotten.  She is the official Memorist of the United Kingdom.

Interestingly enough, there are some secrets that only a few people have the privilege of knowing. When Tilda was born, medical history was made. Doctors discovered that her brain has 560 compartments. It was suspected in later years 250 helpers store information for her at night. Her memory is, of course, photographic and knows very well what is most important. A very detailed catalogue of a memory she has. If she were to go away permanently, her memory strands are stored in the cellar of the house. It is as if her memory has a mind of its own. Sometimes I wonder if in fact it really does.

Josephine has never married, because of her tenacious desire to preserve what she knows. I am Marjorie D. Majestic, procurer of things others forget. I observe those who know and who have always known. I came to my current position through blood coming from a long line of knowers and knowledge keepers. From this I evolved into following memory and fact keepers.

It was in 1967 that I formally became acquainted with Matilda Josephine Morris.  It was at this time I discovered that she was given this incredible gift of a sustainable  memory. Sustainable memory you might ask? How exactly does acquire a sustainable memory? Moshe Roundel, Chief Inquisitor, stated once that there exists a select number of people who are chosen to keep a vast amount of information in memory form, and thus Matilda was chosen. It was discovered at birth and became noticeable at a very early age, around 4 or 5 years.

What exactly is the content of Ms. Morris’ sustainable memory? First of all, the content is defendable and can be upheld in any court in the United Kingdom. Second, it is precise and accurately remembered. Third, who would dare question the authenticity of such a noted historian.  She quite adequately solicits a very peculiar barrage of questions by school children in all of England. Very few subjects are off limits. Marge does in fact, keeps a limit to the questions asked regarding the Monarchy. She has always cherished and favored their privacy. She only answer cursory questions. Nothing specific.

Matilda Josephine Morris is a national treasure.
