Ha! gotcha. Is there really frog eggs in my Tapioca pudding? I surely believed there was when my daddy said that there was frog eggs in my pudding? I even saw the little frogs eggs.
I did not want to even taste the frog egg pudding. I was smelling it and I licked the spoon and much to my surprise, this delightful taste was on my tongue and I felt like Goldilocks and I ate it all up.
I still make the Tapioca pudding today and when I think of that special moment in time, out in the cabin and my mother cooking on the old wood stove making homemade bread and cooking the pudding on the stove.
I was twirling around and around and my mother said, "Sherry, do not do that you will fall down." Just when she said that, I fell down and cracked my face on the bottom of the stove and sure enough I got a black eye from it.
I learned my lesson, not to twirl around in the kitchen because there is not enough room to do this and you will get dizzy and you will loose your balance and you will fall down.
Listen to you mother, she does know best and she is very wise. Father's will tell you old wise tales and I surely got that from my father.
I told my children that chocolate cows will give you chocolate milk. My children believed me when I told them this. They did not believe me when I made the Tapioca pudding and I told them that there were frog eggs in the pudding. They looked at me and said, "I know that you are pulling my leg!" Smart kids. That is why one leg is longer than the other.
So every time, I take a bite of the frog eggs in the Tapioca pudding, I get a chuckle and just like Goldilocks, I eat it all up.
