In the big citys and the small country cemetarys it's all the same heart break and miserey.

Four Dandelion

On a cold November morning ,I happened upon two children

praying at a freshly dug grave at a local cemetery ,pretty flowers

arraigned so neatly around the site, in there tiny little hands they

clasped four yellow ,wilted dandelion flowers so delicately

not to crush a single leaf or petal.

Kneeling next to them by the grave site I asked them so delicately

why they were here on such a cold November morn.

Tears falling like rain down there rosy red cheeks, softly to the ground

below as she explained ,her family perished in a fiery crash a few

weeks ago, her sister,brother and her come often to place flowers

at the site to pray and grieve for there parents and there lost souls.

Looking at the head stone I seen the names engraved of her father,

mother, sister and brother ,looking up and wanting to ask her about

there names, they were gone, a strange feeling came over me

once again the scent of lilacs and a cold breeze whisking thru

the trees then the sounds of children crying far off in the valley.

Once a week I return to the cemetery visiting my friends grave

next to where I met the children that cold November morning

and every time laying on the cold head stone are four

yellow dandelions laying in a row.
