America’s Final Moments
The United States of America died in the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the age of 240 years in Washington, DC. The United States of America was born on July 4, 1776, in Philadelphia, PA.
Parents of The United States of America are Great Britain and France. The United States of America had ten children known as The Bill of Rights who also perished at the same time.
The cause of death was determined to be the triumphant trumpet also known as Putin's Puppet.
The United States of America had survived, a Civil War, two World Wars, an infinite number of Wall Street induced economic crisis, including the1930s depression, the 2008 recession and several panics in the late nineteenth century. It could not survive Putin's Puppet.
A memorial service was held at Independence Hall in Philadelphia on January 20, 2017 at noon eastern standard time. Included in the casket with the United States of America were The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution.
The service consisted of a eulogy delivered by George Washington who reminded the mourners that "If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter."
Washington was followed by Thomas Jefferson who said, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Jefferson paused a moment and added that If he were to rewrite The Declaration today, he would include with "men," women, Blacks, Jews, Christians, Catholics, and all other humans.
James Madison spoke. "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States.
Lincoln stood. He spoke briefly. "With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation's wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan, to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations."
A series of others spoke. In addition to Presidents, other famous Americans spoke. Some of these were Mark Twain, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Julia Ward Howe, and two ordinary Americans. All lamented the death of this great Republic.
The final activity was the singing of America The Beautiful. In spite of open tears, the mourners sang loudly and with a strong sense of pride.
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet,
Whose stern impassion’d stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America! God mend thine ev’ry flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!
O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved,
And mercy more than life!
America! America! May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness,
And ev’ry gain divine!
O Beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam,
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
After taps, a military honor guard escorted the casket to a waiting hearse and a caravan of fifty cars (one for each state) drove to the interment site at Valley Forge. Former President Barack Obama spoke over the grave. One of his statements will always be remembered by schoolchildren through the years
"Out of the ashes of this once great Country, a new nation will rise. A new nation with a greatly expanded Bill of Rights including a new emphasis on privacy rights; corporations will no longer be considered humans; everyone will pay their fair share of taxes.
"We will begin today to build this new nation. We will not repeat the mistakes of the past. And as President Lincoln said, 'this Government of the people, by the people and for the people shall not perish from the earth."
As former President Obama concluded his remarks, a shrill but tinny, whining voice spoke up from the back of the mourners. "Can I speak?"
"If you must, Donald," sighed Obama.
Putin's puppet waddled to the front and looked at the ranks of mourners. He spoke noticing an attractive woman in the front row. "Hey babe, how 'bout you and me get together after this shindig? I'm very rich."
And we why wonder America died.
