There is no proof good enough for those who disbelieve the reality of higher entity that set the stage for all of our existence, because they have no faith that that entity exists. Without that faith, the entity will not be pleased, and therefore contact is limited, because of the contactees resistance to acknowledge that creative power, not because of the contactors inability or willingness to do so. The entity does not need us to acknowledge its existence to exist, but for our benefit gives us the chance to discover and seek it out, through nature and through logical, statistics, mathematics, etc.
The reality however of the existence of anything including the entity to which I refer, is only certain and absolute when it becomes personal, just like we know love and hate inside ourselves exist, that is how we know God exists, by personal knowledge that cannot be replaced by anything else.
I too was mocker and full of arrogance and attacked and ridiculed those who tried to get me to see the light.
I did not know for sure, but having read a bit of the Bible over the years, I prayed that sinner's prayer, not knowing the outcome would be instant tears and feeling like the weight of the world was lifted from my shoulders. I had no idea that would happen. I walked home feeling not my feet touch the ground, and told my mother I got “saved.”
She said, “How do you know? They always tell you that!”
That put immediate doubt in my mind as I did not have an answer, except my personal experience. I went off on a two year journey to try and prove or disprove scientifically the facts of God’s reality.
I became exactly like those on this website that attack, mock and ridicule anybody who challenged me on the idea of there not being a personal entity who created our reality and laid the foundations of the world.
This went on with me happily decimating any who came my way, and shaking many peoples faith along the way. I felt great!
That is why I can relate to the attitude of mockery and persistent belligerence that is directed at those who differ in opinion here about ID or anything related to something that cannot be tested in the laboratory, even though the theories they accept to be true are still not repeatable and testable in the lab. The statistical odds are crazily against a random course of events leading up to today and this story on the internet. The odds are simply not there to support them.
Getting back to my story, as I said I was JUST LIKE THEM, disbelieving and mocking, so one day in my dorm room at the U. of Maryland, I said God if you are there prove it to me, and prayed in the name of what I called
Yaweh, for that is how it appeared it might be pronounced. Suddenly, I felt a bolt of electricity go through my body and nearly knock me over in response to that prayer. I was in astonishment and began to question my own denial of the reality of the God that created the universe we live in today.
I went from a scathing mocker, full of arrogance, and hateful to anyone who challenged me, to having a personal knowledge of God that I could not deny. It was not the last time and I have been convinced of the reality, by all the evidence of creation, science, mathematics, statistics and an overwhelming personal knowledge of the creator himself in my life that I CANNOT deny.
