The phone rings and you know who is on the other end. You need some cash and worry, then a check arrives that you forgot or didn't expect. Worry about a child or loved one...and they show up at your door. Happens often.
Today after reading a heartbreaking poem by my AD friend, Bonnie May regarding the unsolved murder of her brother in the 90's....left me with reminders of my own loss many years ago. My mom was murdered as well, and it was quite awhile before her crime was finally solved (my father also died later as a result of this heinous attack)....but I have gone on with my life as Bonnie has....yet I understand that pain that goes with so many unanswered questions. All day the thoughts remained in the back of my mind...(usually I go thru what she is experiencing but not so much until the anniversary month - July). The reminder nagged at me, so I decided this evening (quite late actually) to check old newspaper articles from my hometown where the homicides occurred. I had difficulty finding the articles and later found out that I have to join/pay a membership fee, etc...so I'll have to do this later in the week when I'm really "ready" to read the information again. In the meantime however... during the searches, I smiled because my maiden name is unique, and so I typed in "Keilmann" several times, and then gave up. I was getting ready for bed, and began to double check mail again, when I noticed an email from my sister in Texas, so I opened it and there was a vintage photo of The Keilmann Family 1958, that someone had found and thought to pass along to those of us who are among the living. I had to smile... what are the chances that something like that would happen TODAY after all these years...just as I was doing a search for that particular name???? Continues to prove to me that there are forces out there that we simply cannot understand...so He sends messengers to encourage us... and in my mind it was simply a "confirmation/validation" that someone UP there knows what I am doing... The photo brought smiles as it was a happy occasion (my paternal grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary, and I was 14 years old! All dressed up in a red satin grown up fancy dress with blingy earrings and lipstick! Several of the cousins in the photo who were much younger than I...have passed on.... and seeing their smiling faces as children was such a nice feeling for me tonite... Just wanted to share this with you if you are a believer in these visitations... and if not... well... hope you enjoyed reading about it anyway. lindalaw
