Ah, the art of motoring, an American pastime. I know that I am somewhat introverted, but could someone please tell me when autopilot became optional equipment on a motor vehicle. I know that this option exists I just can't find the dealership that's installing them. It must be reasonably priced too because at least fifty percent of the drivers on the road utilize it. It is quite commonplace to see woman applying makeup and men reading newspapers while plowing down the road at estimated speeds of sixty miles per hour. Why just the other day a woman was breast feeding, applying makeup and conversing on her cell. Talk about multi-tasking! She was traveling at a cautious speed of forty, probably so the baby wouldn't get shaken up. Oh and what does the new finger signal mean. I've surmissed it must have something to do with passing since drivers finger signal, then pass me and honk their horns. The modern driver is so much more skilled than in my day. They drive at warp speeds while artfully weaving in and out of traffic lanes. Taking turns on two wheels and sizing up lane changes in a fraction of a second. Tell me something, are the police departments only hiring far sighted officers. They never seem to notice serious infractions, but have no problem seeing that my tail light is out up to a mile from them. I suppose that's why Dunkin Donuts have such a large display so they can find their way there. Perhaps we the people could lobby congress for a national verilux optical plan for all law enforcement agencies, then the police would be able to see far and near. Oh and we should tack a national hotline for Dunkin Donuts on that bill too. Happy Motoring.
