Can God talk to us in visions and dreams?

Beth was not feeling well and decided she needed to go to bed early. She had a horrible day and just wanted to rest. Beth took a nice long shower and got into bed after changing into her nightclothes.

Beth was quickly asleep and found herself in a large room full of many people that she recognized. These were people from her church and they seemed to be having a very good time. Beth then realized that she was wearing a very pretty dress that she had never seen before. This dress was white and had accents of turquoise intertwined through the dress. It was a hot summer night and the windows were open and as Beth went to one of the large windows she saw her pastor. He waved to Beth excitedly and smiled broadly. Beth always felt shy around him because of many reasons one being that she had experienced something in the realm of the spirit concerning him.  It had happened so many years ago and Beth forgot whether she had written him a letter about it so many years had passed since Beth had the vision.

Beth had came to this church somehow- she didn't even remember how she arrived to this destination. She knew it must have been part of Gods plan and this church was on fire for God and she enjoyed the services. On one particular night though she was prayed over by an apostle of the church, she wasn't even sure what that meant and he blew on her face and she went down on the floor.

Beth then saw many things in the spiritual realm. She saw what she believed to be an angelic being for he was all light and seemed to be in the shape of a man and had a sword by his side. He seemed to be kneeling but she couldn't be totally sure. She also saw a large face with a even larger sword coming out of the mouth of the face. She was quite afraid during this vision and was shaking under the power of God. This face also seemed to have beams of light coming out of his eyes. The lights seemed to be peircing into her very soul and seeing deep within her spirit.

Beth then saw a man preaching on the stage of that church, at least she thought he must have been preaching, he was walking back and forth swinging his arms. Beth did not know who this man was and then Beth heard, "you will be his help-meet" and the words, "wait" over and over so many times Beth lost count. Beth got up and felt overwhelmed and left. Beth then went to that church again and saw the man that she saw in the vision. She recognized him and decided she needed to get his attention but with all of her efforts it seemed futile and he had never noticed her..

Now Beth was in this dream and the pastor was speaking to her. He was asking her, "is this house ok? Do you like it?" Beth looked around. The house was quite large and had many large windows that overlooked water. There was a pool nestled in the backyard that led to the water. Beth loved this house.  Beth wondered what the heck she was doing here and what was going on as she looked at all the people from her church and the pastor paying alot of attention to her! This had never happened before this way. Beth stood frozen next to the pastor.

Beth woke up from her dream and wondered what it meant. Beth decided to go back to sleep and see if she could dream an answer to her question....

The End

The Ghost of Mavis by Mary Lynn Plaisance

Mavis asked, "Am I a ghost again? I don't remember being a ghost, but I know I was." Do you believe in reincarnation?
