One day, my 15 year old son asked me if he could make some eggnog. He had just found the recipe in a magazine. Not being very fond of eggnog myself I had never actually made it but I had seen it made. I agreed to let him have a try at making the eggnog. I was busy doing the normal housework. Entering the kitchen, I decided to check on his progress. He had the milk and eggs in a sauce pan on the stove and was stirring it. I didn't recall having to cook eggnog. So I looked at the open book that contained the recipe. I quickly read it, no where did I see where it said to boil the recipe. So I asked my son where he read the boil the eggnog. He pointed it out to me, turns out the recipe read "mix in a deep bowl"; he thought deep bowl read deep boil.
