I am sure most of you have reason to wonder if all the books sold which were written by you are getting credited to your account. If you haven't maybe you should. I received several emails from purchasers stating, "I have bought your book or books, Thanks" It is pretty hard to tell if this is true from the stand point of the emailing person and the list that you get from royalties.

But, I was getting too many thank you notes and not enough sold book records and decided to do some checking of my own. I invited several locations of friends to buy my books. with verification, stating that I would reimburse them and did some buying myself from various places. The only place I am sure is not giving timely credit is my Amazon account. The number of books sold during a specified time is less than my verifiable purchases. This is not to say that this record won't show up along the line. My royalty form shows the name by title of each book. It is possible that a book is reported to have been shipped when it has not and may show up later. The special checking that I did was just last week and not all sales have shown up. The statement in my royalty record notes that sales will be posted within twenty four hours.

I just wanted to pass this on. Even though more than the 24 hrs have passed during working hours and one book is with UPS at this time, I will give the benefit of the doubt and say that the royalty posting will happen on Monday. But, again, it doesn't hurt to watch those who are watching out for you.
