Diversamente dai nostri antenati, che adoravano idoli di pietra o dei spiritati...

Diversamente dai nostri antenati, che adoravano idoli di pietra o dei spiritati, oggi noi adoriamo macchine, o idee. Non sono fatte codeste nuove divinita' a nostra somiglianza, ne' tantomeno noi alla loro ma - non dissimilmente dal passato - sono figlie dalla nostra dissoluta specie, genia di indissolubile fede e cieca caparbieta'. 
 
Poiche' non ci somigliano, esse non hanno cuore, sono inanimate. Sono un pantheon variegato di uccelli di fibre d'acciaio e pance acuminate, astri artificiali che roteano scrutandoci dagli spazi siderali; sono ordigni infausti ed orribili che ci annientano, fin dentro i nostri bunker di cemento armato; sono colossali dighe che ostruiscono i corsi di fiumi e i flussi eterni delle maree; sono inesauribili centrali in perenne turbinio d'atomi di materia, o microscopici strumenti di tortura dell'ellisse genetica. 
 
Diversamente dai nostri padri, a codesti novelli dei oggi noi non chiediamo nulla. Non salvezza o verita', redenzione o vita eterna, protezione, grazia; non prosperi raccolti sulla fertile terra,  abbondante cacciagione o pesca fruttuosa in mari tempestosi. Noi ad essi solo chiediamo di godere dell' infinitesimale particella d'esistenza, l'oggi, la pietra tombale ondeggiante sull'abisso,  il ponte che unisce il nulla al nulla.
 
Immemori donde ci trassero e ignari d'ove ci  possano infine condurre, semplicemente offriamo loro sacrifici di spada e sangue malvaceo.
