Somewhere in time, one awaits panting, for the words only you can create!

Rodney's Painted Pen Commentary

Our Words Penned in Might

They say the Pen remains mightier than the sword, though I feel not this power resting in hand this day, as I wield my sword and pen in passion of heart.

They state indeed that the might of the pen has the ability to alter the very landscape of time, yet I see no sway of transformation this day as I pen my humble heart to parchment stark and white.

Some say that the penned heart of another has the power of persuasion to curb, alter and sway the hearts of others, yet I see not this magical response to the tome of words I pen as one man this day.

Oh, I seek not to imply that my words spoken and penned in sincerity daily, surpass that of the voice of many a word penned nor spoken, resting in lofty, enlightened or essential, for indeed the penned words of all when cast to parchment in sincerity, hold power undiscovered to be certain.

Do the words indeed of the noble, renowned and celebrated weigh higher in significance than that of the unknown author I ask? I think not, yet I think yes!
For surely even the most base among men, if celebrated and famous in name, hold an allure to many, for what reason I know not.

Surely the voice of each and all among us this day, remains of vital importance to some, do they not? And surely the passionate protest of heart launched by the peasant, surely is equal to the cry of the king as well?

I wish yes, but think no! No, I fear the campy dissertation of a middle of the road aging rock singer or soap opera star, reign higher in importance than the author unknown painted in eloquence and depth.

It remains human behavior I think to cling to the words of the named and recognized in our midst, while considering seldom the depth, value, and significance of the numerous others among us who walk largely overlooked in times passage.

Does a name alone, depict importance of words launched? Or do we walk daily amidst words of value dispensed, and notice not, due to the non name identity? Yes, there remain many who are notable in name now, but were not recognized by their peers in their lifetime, yes, Van Gogh leaps quickly to mind!

So I ask this day, do we as writers shrink away in fear and insecurity, when our words are received not with applause? If we do I say shame, shame, shame.
For I am fully persuaded that all who hold passion burning within the framework of their person and heart's, have words worthy, to fly upon times breath.

Yes, truly the saddest thing on earth remains this, that some deem their voice as insignificant, when compared to the eloquence or importance of another!
I say shame, shame, shame, for surely he who has a voice upon his or her heart speaking, has a commitment to themselves and others to speak that heart boldly, not comparing themselves to others, but rather realizing in revelation unwrapped, that an audience indeed, awaits their voice in time!

As individuals often we compare ourselves to others, I being the greatest offender of all, yet deep within my heart, I know full well such comparisons steal our identity so vital, fragrant, and important.

All were born to think, speak and share, and those among us who remain blessed enough to pen these varied thoughts to parchment, have the added attraction of knowing they may well ride on into history and times face, long after we linger no more in carriage, body and frame. Yes, stamping and painting our time lived and personal scent etched upon the earth.

All words spoken reveal the very content, nature and character of the author indeed, and all words breathed in thoughtfulness no doubt have an audience awaiting their ushering in and conception, it therefore should remain our quest as writers, to yes launch the whispers of our heart, reflective of our soul, into time, for somewhere across the vast expanse of time, one awaits the very words that only you can craft in a a tone and language they understand and can entreat.

For the bell tolling words I speak this day cannot indeed be heard by all, for all deem not the toll as familiar or common unto their ears resting in superb individualism and color.
Yes, one can send the same message in word form as another, yet the same said construction of those words cause them to be heard and understood by some, and not heard nor understood by others as well.

For it remains our distinct individualism depicted and painted in our diverse styles, that creates an audience of listeners, therefore it remains imperative that all speak, share and voice their deepest mutterings of heart, for one awaits the very breath of their words, somewhere in time.

If we withdraw in fear and insecurity, due to the applause we receive not, we do ourselves and others a great injustice to be certain, for only fear can steal our voice and silence our hearts resting in splendor one and all.

So may we speak this day the innermost dictates of our heart, not concerning ourselves with the acceptance of some, nor the rejection of many, but rather may we attach our words unto time knowing, that it is for this very reason that we bear a voice indeed.

So may we as the caretakers and gatekeepers of mighty words this day, yes, one and all, be cognizant of this vital fact unfolding, that each and every voice among us was created to be heard! For somewhere in time this very minute and day, someone awaits only the words that you can speak, craft and create, to console and inspire their dull heart once more!

Peace,
Rodney Evan Bohen

amen, oh..amen, I...yes, and this:
"As individuals often we compare ourselves to others, I being the greatest offender of all, yet deep within my heart, I know full well such comparisons steal our identity so vital, fragrant, and important"

and sometimes so fragile, that the words of another, alone...can yes,

"console and inspire their dull heart once more!"

Rodney Evan...yes, and Thank you!
and now, am at a loss, other than the Thank You!
I have to...well, I...I must have Carla, was shopping, earlier and oh, if you can go and sign, well, ah, oh...I hope to go somewhere as well, soon...and That you are Going, well, hmmm, just Oh...wish I was in N.M. on the 5th... maybe that would get me to B&N (other than online...) you are, you have moved someone, and so, I suppose that I am sort of proving your argument, and even if not, well...Thank you...
