Fate be Damned! For we hold her in our hand's!
Today Built By Yesterday
As we embark upon today, may we not forget yesterday that formed it, and made it what it is! For surely our yesterdays do define our today's do they not?
For surely all that we remain today, we can attribute in bow, curtsy and tribute, to our yesterday's already spent, exhaled and fulfilled. If our yesterday's have dropped us in a bad place this day, then perhaps reflection upon our yesterdays would be in keeping with prudent, insightful and wise. If our yesterdays have ushered us into a valley of good this day, then once again, to reflect is wise, yes noting the path leading to good!
So if we remain in good or bad this day, our yesterday is indeed worth investigating, for only a fool dismisses the map and key to good, due to a mere lack of observance.
So if reflection in yesterday can help avoid the same bad road today, it has been a worthwhile look back I should think.
Indeed if our yesterdays conduct and path taken has planted us in today, then indeed today's posture taken, shall as well define, shape and sculpt our tomorrow, shall it not?
Fate be damned! For we hold her in our hand's! For she impacts only those who move not in time, to shape their own tomorrow's! She casts her spell only over those who drift willingly downstream in her direction and grasp, by their sin of omission invoked, due to the very lack of action they take not today.
That is what I love about the arts! So many indeed do stumble upon their passion, yes, late in life, yet not to late to stamp their heart upon the neck of times breath. More importantly! They are allowed, even late in the game, to experience that which they were indeed born to embrace, inherit, and taste, yes, the reality of their dreams yet uncovered, the love tussle of creative being birthed and spawned in arrayed colors of brilliance and genius released.
Matters not, if one embraces sculpting, or needlepoint, the journey is painted in honorable indeed! Be it farmer or dog breeder, or artist renowned, each feels the pulse of his heart beat and glimmer in passion once more, when he yes, embraces his or her dreams.
Today was built with yesterdays timber, we build our lodge for the morrow, while it is still called today.
Peace,
Rodney Evan Bohen
