One night I sat down, placed a truthful bio and current picture of myself, on one of the dating websites. I was very naive, believing the shadow behind the computer screen would be as honest with me as I with him. My business was very active and unlike many others, I was not relentlessly on the hunt for the perfect soul mate. You know the hunt, spending enormous hours not just emailing, but going from one coffee meeting, to lunch meeting, to drink meeting, to dinner meeting, to late night drink meeting, knowing each meeting will surely be that special love of your life.
In my case, I found there were 100's of men in the age appropriate, likes and dislikes category. They sent winks, emails, and many special offers. It was overwhelming. I could not believe the number of emails I received. Sorting, discarding, weeding out, checking out, and trying to meet these guys would have been like a full time job. Just going through the process was exhausting. After just 3 months, I only went to meet 3 men. Not one of the 3 turned out to be riding a white horse.
