Confidence is key and so I want to help you stand out in a crowd and own the entire room as soon as you walk in the door!
There is no doubt about it! People in ALL area’s of life; business AND social, are attracted to Confident, Energetic, and Self-Assured people.
You have probably heard at some point or time in your life that you ARE who you surround yourself with. The reason why, is because it’s contagious…all that good “JUJU” those types of people exude affect and rub off on the people around them and so we ALL love to be around people like that.
They make us feel good about ourselves, optimistic about the future, powerful, affective, successful, and that we can achieve anything we set our minds to.
Seriously…Admit it! When was the last time you were attracted to someone that acted like a big ole’ WUSS (yeah…I know…it’s a bit descriptive, but that’s my point)? Someone who was insecure, never looked you in the eyes and afraid to assert an opinion? My guess would be, NEVER…right?
Become the person I described in the first sentence and there will be NO obstacles in making your dreams come true . You can’t just go through the motions either! You HAVE to REALLY believe in yourself and LOVE yourself. That my new friends is the true definition of confidence.
Step 1: When you go to a party, interview, business function or any place you want or need to make a favorable impression, it’s all about your entrance.
You ooze self-confidence without the ego, your self-esteem is beautiful and rich, you are sporting the “Smoking Hot” outfit, great hairdo, and your makeup is a-ROCKIN’! Your personal self-love radiates an energy people will swarm around like moths to an open flame.
You are empowered Honey! I hate to say it, but: “YOU GO GIRL…or BOY!”
Step 2: Now let’s put all that into action and show EVERYONE just what you are made of! Pure amazing, unadulterated woman…or man!
Walk in...late, (just not for an interview or business meeting) commanding attention by holding your head high, straight posture, and walking with your own signature sway/strut. Glance around the room like you BELONG there and EVERYONE was waiting for YOU to arrive.
Step 3: Make eye contact and smile (sincerely and big) at everyone whose attention you catch. Let them see how your smile reaches your eyes which in turn will allow them the ability to instantly see your souls beauty reaching out from within, without them having to learn one single thing about you. It’s apparent in how you carry yourself and how you openly let them in.
Step 4: Use open body language to show that you are approachable. Don’t give those limp fish handshakes that women are notorious for or men give women they think are too delicate… that’s only for when you meet the Queen of England.
Show your strength and command respect by giving a strong firm handshake, but also show warmth by cupping your joined hands with your other palm and slightly lean into the other person; smiling big so that it reaches your eyes when you make eye contact.
Step 5: Ask open-ended questions until you reach a subject you have a mutual interest/knowledge in that you can really form a connection with the person you are talking to. If you are excited about the subject show it…if you are passionate show it, if it makes you happy SHOW IT, etc…
Don’t be afraid to let go, it proves that you are confident in who you are, sincere, and genuinely interested in sharing your thoughts and hearing what the other person thinks and feels as well.
Step 6: Don’t be afraid of human contact…male or female! Show your warmth and confidence by briefly touching an arm, hand, shoulder when appropriate…laughing at a joke, driving home a point, showing compassion and support.
Just don’t overdo it and don’t let it be contrived. If it makes you uncomfortable…don’t do it.
Step 7: Last but certainly not least…have fun and just be yourself!
