In a crowded room, filled with fun and excitement. The air conditioning system seemed to have malfunctioned, it has suddenly gotten rather stuffy and unbearably hot. Some people are now irritable, and some are complaining angrily that the air conditioning system was never any good. Others just simply leave in total disappointment, feeling cheated of their fun and excitement.

The air conditioning expert is called in almost immediately. Upon arrival he quickly discovers that the thermostat is the problem, its timer had failed resulting in a heated room. This problem is quickly corrected however, many people have already left. Yet there is still a substantial amount, who in turn feels relieved that the room temperature is now just right, the fun and excitement resumes.

In your daily walk with God, you experience what feels like fiery trials, which seems almost unbearable. You begin searching, trying to find a solution, but you find none. You experience sickness, heartache and grief, not to mention, the many disappointing setbacks. As you sit there feeling all alone, thinking how could God allow these things to happen? Anger seeps through, followed by your bitter complaints to God. The tears then begin to flow down your cheeks, as you feel the warmth and love of your Heavenly Father. He kindly speaks, " My child I Am The Thermostat, these trial are necessary to purify you. With the understanding that whenever, you experience illness of any sort. When your heart is broken and filled with sorrow. I am with you in the midst of your disappointment, during your loneliest times, I am with you." Yes the God of all comfort is with you in all that you are going through. He is The Thermostat in every situation that you are experiencing. What an assurance to know that the Thermostat knows just how much each of us can bear. Each of us are unique individuals with a purpose and destiny on the inside. The Thermostat in His wisdom allows just enough heat in our lives to propel us to our destiny.

It is so easy to walk away from your destination. You can become bitter and so weary to the point of giving up. I challenge you today not to give up. Allow the heat of The Thermostat to purify you, staying in that place where God has planted you. Remain there until He releases you. He will adjust the temperature in your life. Wait for your change!
