Many times we do not stand up nor speak up about things that we know are wrong,and silence is said to give consent. Well just as salt irritates it also preserves. May this article not only challenge you, but also cause you to be like salt when it comes to taking a stand for Jesus Christ!! Be blessed.

Salt is the mineral which is sodium chloride, a white crystalline substance which is used mainly for seasoning and as a perservative. In the book of Job 6:6 Job says, " Can that which is unsavory be eaten without salt. Or is there any taste in the white of an egg? "

Jesus said in� the book of Matthew 5:13 " Ye are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is the good for nothing but to be cast out and to be trodden under foot of men." If you and I through Jesus Christ, make no effort to affect the world around us, then we are of little value to God. Yes if we� as believers in Christ Jesus become too much like the world, we will lose all of our salt. Rendering us worthless and having no effect on the lives of others.

The time has come for each of us to take inventory of our lives as salt. Are we just blending in with everyone else? Have we as Christians become too much like the world? What about the way we treat each other, are we affecting those we encounter daily in a positive way? I challenge you to allow the salt of God to bring out the treasures that are buried inside. Allow these gifts from Abba Father to impact each life you touch for Christ. Just as seasoning brings out the flavor in food, salt is a necessity in our daily lives.

I love that "salt!"

This is short, sweet and powerful. It definitely spoke to me. We are IN the world, but are not to be OF the world. We are sojourners in this, the enemy's turf. We are to show the lost that there's another way, the only way.

It brings to mind what Jesus said when they accused Him of hanging out with sinners and tax collectors. I'm sure He didn't do it to indulge in worldly behavior; He did it to be a witness, a light, salt, to those who needed it.

To be a living witness to the lost, we must accompany them somewhat. I can't help but think that while Jesus "partied" with sinners, while I know He did not sin, I bet He enjoyed Himself. And I bet they all really liked Him and at least wished they were more like Him.

Being salt to the lost, to me, means being a living testimony of God's love, mercy, kindness, goodness, and holiness to them. And I'm sad to say that I too often fall miserably short and muddy my feet in the muck they're standing in.

When will I learn that pure goodness is irresistibly attractive to the lost?
