Definition of Suffocate: New Webster’s Dictionary – to oppress, smother.

While shampooing my hair, I had positioned my head in the basin to rinse it, when suddenly I felt a severe blow to the back of my neck. The entire room felt like it was spinning and rapidly I was losing consciousness but instinctively I held on to the faucet of the basin and an unknown language came up from within me. An unsettling presence had emanated the bathroom; this unknown language was keeping whatever it was at bay. Supernaturally I regained my strength but had difficulty walking straight. This incident reminded me of one particular early morning while sitting in my front room reading the word, my attention was drawn to a man on the outside, his feet was not touching the ground, he was arrayed in a cloak and a diadem was on his head. He was directly in front of me, while I was reading the word. Soon after seeing him, another man similar to him popped his head out from behind a portrait that hung on the wall. Then the unthinkable happened, an ancient dragon appeared on the floor on the side of me but I kept on reading the word. In the dining room from my peripheral view, there was an angel warring. The minute I began to pray, the man in front of me from the outside began to hurl darts aimed at my chest, and they were hitting me really hard but as the word spoke from within I am paraphrasing, “I have taken my place seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus and I refuse to move! No weapon formed against me shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise to condemn me, I shall condemn for my heritage is of the Lord.” In an instant the arrows began to bounce off my chest, the diadem fell off the man’s head and he fled in a westerly direction, the man who was positioned behind the portrait fled in a southern direction. As for the dragon he vanished as quickly as he came! These two incidents happened years ago but earlier this week as I was walking the floor in prayer I heard these words; it is time to suffocate the enemy! Be it known to you, the enemy is not your husband, no not your wife nor is it “church folk.” Your “boss” is not your enemy either. The fact is no human being is your enemy! Let’s go to the Epistle of Ephesians chapter six and read what the Apostle Paul wrote to the saints who were in Ephesus concerning who the real enemy is, are you ready for the truth? I am so glad you are. Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Maybe you too have experienced intense warfare in your walk with Abba Father and if you haven’t you will as you run even harder after God. Pause for a moment to think about how Yahweh has allowed you and me to embark upon a new year with the realization it is not because of how closely we walked with Him nor was it our faithfulness, truth be known it is all because of God’s grace and mercy He has allowed you and me to see 2016. Bear in mind though, God is a God of purpose too and it is time for you and me to stop playing “church” while turning our eyes away from the demonic strongholds in the church and throughout our communities. We have deafened our ears to the cry of the drug addicts, the prostitutes, the little boys and girls that are molested, the homeless and the destitute. Many people are depressed and are being oppressed perhaps while you are reading this article there are some who have already lost hope. It is time for the people of Yahweh to awaken and understand we are in a spiritual battle and not against each other. Let’s cease from biting each other with hurtful bitter words and erase all negative attitudes from being displayed. There is a real spirit world waging war daily against your walk with God. Wake up! Wake up! It is time to suffocate the enemy, not your husband, not your wife. No, do not suffocate “church folk” or any human beings. Yes, Ephesians 6:12 bears repeating because we are fighting too much against one another while the real enemy, who is Satan is having a field day throughout our land, killing, stealing and destroying lives. Kindly read it again, (12) “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Is it possible that we as Yahweh’s people have become lazy in prayer, complacent and even stagnant? Are we constantly in the study of the Word? Joshua 1:8 is speaking to you and to me from verse (8) “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Have we allowed the prayer walls and the gates to our cities to be broken down? Is it possible that spiritual thieves and robbers along with many dark and vicious spirits are now invading our homes? Have our homes become set up with strongholds within to viciously attack unsuspecting family members? Strange occurrences are happening in homes, relationships are failing, and even Church gatherings are not exempt. I reiterate, wake up! Wake up! It is time to suffocate the enemy by following the blue print for your life. God will bless you for adhering but far too many of Yahweh’s people are suffering and experiencing too many losses of loved ones, heartache and pain. It is time to suffocate the enemy by spending more time in the Word, more time in prayer. Suffocate the enemy with your praise! Dare to praise God in your darkest hour. Be obedient each time Abba Father awakens you to get up to spend time in His presence. Always follow and be sensitive to the leading of The Holy Spirit. Forgive those who continue to hurt and misuse you. Love and care for people whom you cross paths with. Intensify your worship unto the LORD in joy or in pain and you will suffocate the enemy.
While rinsing my hair the blow I had received was a direct attack of the real enemy who was on the inside but the Word which was so engrafted in my heart spoke and cut asunder that wicked power and Abba Father gave me a superior weapon to defeat it……a direct language to the throne room of Abba Father’s presence, no foe can withstand His presence! Wherever you are on your journey it is time to use the weapons that Yahweh has given you to suffocate the enemy. Remember, humans’ are not your enemy; it is Satan and his cohorts! I hear it louder; it is time to suffocate the enemy!
