The first thing my wife does when the Sunday newspaper comes, is to go through all the inserts in the newspaper to look for bargains.
One day, I went into the kitchen to fix a little lunch for myself, and as I rummaging through the refrigerator looking for the ingredients for my sandwich which I got, including a large jar of mayonnaise. As I was shuffling things around in the refrigerator, I noticed another large jar of mayonnaise...and then another jar...and then another large jar of mayonnaise!
"What's going on here?" I thought to myself! Why do we have four opened jars of mayonnaise in the refrigerator? I had to go to the pantry to get other things for my lunch, and there I saw FIVE more unopened large jars of mayonnaise! All this mayonnaise for a family of four...with two small children? This was enough mayonnaise to feed the entire country of Bulgaria for a year!
The only thing I could think of, as to how this could have happened, was the use or mis-use of coupons. My wife does the grocery shopping (I clean the house), and she checks for coupons every week.
She probably saw a coupon for mayonnaise one week...and bought the product...and then she bought another and then another...until the mayonnaise piled up! Just because a person has a coupon, doesn't mean that person has to use it.
All in all, there were NINE jars of mayonaise in the refrigerator and in the pantry, and my wife had a little explaining to do. I had no idea how to handle this problem! But, one thought that crossed my mind, was that, if this type of thing continued, my wife was going to have to get a little therapy. And, what better place to get counseling, than to send her to the state of Minnesota...and you guessed it...to the Mayo Clinic!

HUMOR 101 FOR DUMBOS! The above is a true story, and I left certain things out of the story, so the reader could focus on the MAYOnnaise, because I knew what the punch line would be, etc. For example, there were 23 cans of corn in the pantry; 19 cans of green beans; 16 cans of peas; and 11 cans of pie filling! My wife doesn't bake pies and neither do I! So, this was the miss-use of coupons for sure!
