Companies are interested in making money for their stockholders...and they're not interested in the taxes in the United States and certainly not interested in the unions bargaining for anything, etc.  Unions are a pain in the ass to corporations...and it is a fact and well-known, that unions have lost their clout and power to woo Presidential candidates over the years. 

As a teen-ager in the late 1950's and early 1960's, I remember when unions had the power to woo Presidential candidates to try to win their vote.  In 2010, unions don't have that kind of clout and power anymore. 

The loss of jobs to other countries is not the fault of the White House; the Republicans; or the Democrats...but is the fault of the self-serving U.S. Congress as a whole!  For it is the duty of the U.S. Congress, to keep all these jobs for the American people in the United States of America and not let the companies leave for another country!  Certainly, a betrayal of the trust by the Congress of the American people!

When I was a patient in the VA hospital, one of the nurses told me that her husband was 55 years old, and having trouble finding a job.  About ten years previously, he was hired by an advertising agency, and was told that he would get regular raises and a promotion in due time.  Five years went by, and he got nothing!  After five years on the job, he went into the bosses office, and demanded a pay raise.  Instead of a raise...he got the boot!  He was now unemployed for over five years, and trying to feed the family working as a temporary employee, and finding bits and pieces of jobs here and there, etc.

I know all about job losses, because I've lost six myself in a little over a decade.  This all happened to me while I was about 48 to 60 years of age!  Aside from the job losses, I didn't think I had to confront one thing...ageism...discrimination against older workers!  Ageism is alive and well in this country, and, in the end, it became part of my downfall.

There is certainly a lot of interest in the subject of age discrimination in the U.S.  So, if you're over 40 years of age...you had better look at this possibility during your job search, etc.

From: CNN Archives.com: (American workplace to China);  Labor Department statistics suggest that U.S. employers cut far more jobs in August than private economists had anticipated...113,000 non-farm jobs.  But, what concerns Stephanie Luce, Ph.D., about her research data is not just her figure of at least 34,900 jobs...maybe twice that...moving from the United States to China in a seven month period as a result of a warming Washington-Bejijing trade relations.  "What makes it worse," she said, "some of these are higher wage jobs...the type that U.S. cities have been fighting to win...and, now they're leaving.  Many of those jobs were held by people who had been working in them for many years, and in some cases, their entire lifetime."

After all my job losses, I was a temporary temporary longer than I would have liked, and one time, I worked at a company who manufactured filters for clean rooms and hospitals, etc.  Everywhere I worked, I tried to get on as a permanent employee, and this job was no different. 

One day, a group of Chinese came into the company and were guided around the company by the foreman.  A few of the Chinese were carrying cameras and taking pictures of the manufacturing process and the equipment, etc.  This was about the middle 1990's, so I was a little amazed to see this.  I learned later, that the company was moving to China within about the next year.  There went another job opportunity for me. 

It's a win; win; win situation for corporations; they have a lazy, worthless Congress to deal with, which is good for the corporation; the profits are higher out of the country; they pay the workers about a dollar a month, which is great for the worker in some countries; little or no taxes; free land; no unions to worry about...hey...life is great out of the United States! 

Do you really think the worthless Congress is going to do anything about it?  Of course not...corporations pay them big bucks under the table to shut up and mind their own business! 

At the current age of 65 in 2010, I live on Social Security and a small pension.  I worry that one day I will look at my deposite slip and it reads...sorry no dinero!  Social Security is busted!  How are we going to maintain Social Security if there are not many young workers to pay into the system for the older workers, just like I paid into the system to pay for the workers before me?  Sorry...no comprende...you must speak English...

The U.S. Congress is the problem...and not the solution!

For President Obummer and all the self-serving morans in the U.S. Congress...the problem is the number of jobs leaving the country...STUPIDS!   

Another huge problem for this country...is the candy-ass, lazy American's who don't know how to protest and take back their own government...from a worthless Congress...STUPID!
