My creative and colorful version of a BUSINESS PLAN; I've never written a business plan before, and this page (with links), is as close I can get to a business plan.. When finished, it should be about 20 pages *(with links to other colorful places. and addresses many different issues such as copyrigtht; legal; creative control; age; death (will); and other issues.

I like to tell the story of Grandma Moses, which is an inspiring story. She lived to be 101 years old, and she was an embroiderer. But, because of arthritis to her hands, she changed and became a painter.
During her lifetime, she painted over 1,000 pictures, and many of her paintings were made into greeting cards, and she was also a world-wide celebrity. She lived on a farm in upstate New York, and she had to do all that hard work, so that makes this story even more remarkable, etc.
Over-night success; It used to be in the old days that a person could become an over-night success in about 30 to 40 years, going from town to town doing your magic art or craft. Musicians are a good examples. But, with the coming of the Internet, all that has changed. Because of the power of the Internet, and its wide use around the world, a person can, in fact, become an over-night success in a short time. It won't take 30 or 40 years to do it.
Yours truly, has been in the creative business for over 35 years...first as a woodcarver for nearly 30 years, and then I have tried my hand at writing for the past six years. I must be crazy! I should have my head examined!
Style: My style over the years, has been to take chances (risks) with my work. As a woodcarver, I carved over 200 different figures, and I sold almost everything I made at arts and crafts shows and shops and galleries, etc.
Over the years, I participated in over 40 arts and crafts shows all over the state of New Mexico (where I live). In the early 1980's, me and my ex lived in a small community of about 30,000 residents called Rio Rancho, just north of Albuquerque, NM. At the time, the giant known as Intel moved into town, and eventually employed over 7,000 people. At the time, my wife and I knew nothing about computer chips. The only chips we were familiar with, were the cow chips out on the mesa.
At the time, I never felt that I would know anything about a computer; that I would never own one; that I would never be able to operate one; and that I would have my website. A place where I could showcase my thoughts and ideas to the world no less! A very exciting time, as you can imagine. At the time, I couldn't wait to get my computer, and the primary wait, was that computers were too expensive. When the prices came down in the turn of the century, I got my first computer.
About 8 years before that, I had completed three computer courses at the local community college, in anticipation of getting my own computer. It was a long wait, but the day finally came. After I got the computer, It didn't take me long to start learning how to build a website. The computer courses didn't teach me how to build a website...I had to learn all that on my own...stumbling from place to place and page to page, etc.
I put up the website called, humordoctormd, up around 9/11 of 2001, and it has been the joy of my life. When I saw the clip-art library at Homestead, I knew that the website was going to be good. So good, in fact, that I think the website is one of the best websites on the Internet in the beginning category. I still feel the same way in 2012. But, the visitor will be the ulitimate judge...

Today, (2012) Albuquerque, New Mexico is a little one-horse town of about 500,000 residents. As a kid, I grew up on the 'po side of town' and I spoke both English and Spanish...'Spang-lish. Our family lived three doors from the railroad yards, and I spent most of my outdoor time 'looking over my shoulder,' because of the hobos, who would jump off the trains and comb the neighborhoods for food and money. It was a pretty bad neighborhood to grow up in.
Now, (2012) I have my own website, and people all over the world are seeing my work. From Australia to New Zealand to Europe and Asia...AMAZING! And now, I started to get emails from all over the world, as shown in the following link;

Granted, in today's society of greed...even a hobby can get expensive. One of the few hobbies, that is not expensive, is writing. A person can start writing with a pencil and a piece of paper. That's how I started. That is, if a person puts all the whining and excuse-making aside, and just gets started...regardless of your age. . Remember...there's no free lunch!

This is an example of how I want my galleria/shopping mall to look and work.
And, nobody ever promised me a rose garden...
After 6 job layoffs in a little over a decade, I became homeless at the age of 60, and I lived in a homeless shelter for over 6 weeks and stood in a soup line for that time. I was hospitalized for over 3 1/2 months and I lost all my possessions...I've been there...I done that. The re-building of my life would start at the age of 60. The decade was the worst time in my life...as I was diss-connected from the Internet and my website for over 2 1/2 years.
Meaning and purposeful life;
Fame and forture have never been a prioity in my life. As a matter of fact, I have given away my work over the years.
I WRITE TO HELP PEOPLE; PETS; WILDLIFE AND THE ENVIORNMENT;
At the age of 68 in February, 2013, I will proceed with my biggest challange; Pay Per View...that is...charging the public to see my work. I'm not the kind of person, who will sit in my rocking chair all day...feeling sorry for myself, etc.
Pay Per View:
Like millions of other Internet users, I've given my work away for over a decade. In November, 2012, I got the idea of pay per view, and try to start charging visitor's to my webiste. This idea is in the developing stages, but I will try my best to make it all work.
Who Says There Isn't Anything FREE Anymore?
$64,000 questions; (about the project; pay per view)
Why? Who? When? Where? How?
Why? All of us have to make a living, and because of the greedy society we live in, it almost a must to bring in additional money to survive, etc.
Who? There are thousands of companies and non-profit organizations out there to choose from. I have to start some place, and so I have to whittle that list down. I chose to go to the Corporation of Public Broadcasting and their affiliates around the country. We have a PBS station here in Albuquerque called KNME TV 5.
How? This is the operative word. At this point, I have no idea as to HOW all this will be done, etc. I chose PBS, because they have technical people on hand, such as engineers; technicians; camera people, etc. They also have creatives; graphic artist, presentors, with communications skills, etc.
The local PBS station, is jointly owned by the University of New Mexico; and the Albuquerque Public Schools. This is a win-win for everyone, because the people at the PBS station can get help to do this project from other in-house personnel, without going off campus to get the advice, etc. In my view, people in this environment, can say, 'Yes' we can do this idea...OR...NO...we cannot do this because of such and such...If the answer is NO...it won't deter me. I will keep looking, until I find a sponsor.
Priority Number One; The first thing that a potential sponsor has to do...is to like my work. If he or she or the company doesn't like what I do, why would they sponsor me?
I don't know the technical aspects of putting all this together, so I have to rely on a Sponsor, who has the technical knowhow, that will commit to this project. This project can be a WIN; WIN, WIN situation for the sponsor; myself; and the charitable/non-profit organization, etc.
Fifteen percent of the revenue from this project will go to charity...and/or non-profit organizations...a feel, good, feeling for sure!
And finally...at the age of 68, I have one more battle to win...the pay to view project...and I'm not going out to buy a rocking chair anytime soon...
