Over more than 20 years, I've eaten about one banana every other day, and I was wondering the value of bananas in the diet, so I went on the Internet and did a little research on bananas. And, what I found, really amazed me.

*                            *                         *

For our friends and neighbors around the world, who my not understand the following expression, I will define it for them;

to go bananas (definition/slang); to act mildly crazy; this expression may allude to the similiar 'go ape' expression so that apes and other primates are closely associated with eating bananas;

In the United States, we're all getting poisoned by all the drugs we all take.  During the last three years and since 2009, I have been hospitalized three times...and I pointed the finger at the drugs that had been prescribed to me by doctore.  Metformin for diabetes...TWICE... and Ambien for sleep problems.

When a drug is the cause, doctor's are the DUMBEST people in the world...they know nothing about the cause of your illness...it must have been something you ate, etc.  In the year 2006, a pacemaker was implanted, and here again, I think it was the pacemaker that caused me to have a stroke in May, 2012.  I demanded that the pacemaker come out, and surgery was done in January, 2013, and the pacemaker was removed.

At the age of 68 in 2013, I have sworne off medical doctors, and I have cut my drug intake by natural means, and get of the poisions (drugs) in my life.  Prescription drugs kills hundreds of thousands of American's every year.  I've eaten a lot of bananas over the past 20 years, but I had to find out the benefits of bananas, so I went out on the Internet and did a little research.  Over the last few years, I've cut my drug intake from 8 pills a day...to just 3 pills a day...and I can get rid of those, because the pacemaker was removed in January, 2013.

I'm really excited about getting rid of drugs in my life, because the side-effects of drugs, have caused so many other problems.  One of the best things I've done for my health, is to go to a chiropractor for the last 35 years.  Chiropractors don't prescribe drugs...the healing is done naturally by the body.  I've stayed away from drugs all my life...and now, the last three drugs, will be the hell out of my life...period!

From: HealthDiaries.com;

Diet: One banana has 11% of the RDA of dietary fiber and only about 108 calories. The fiber in bananas, not only keeps digestion regular, but also helps maintain low blood sugar and curbs overeating.

Lower blood pressure; Studies show that, the high amounts of potassium in bananas (over 13% of the RDA), can lower one's blood pressure which in turn lessons the possibility of atherocleosis; heart attack and stroke.

My Two-Cents; I've had a blood pressure problem for over 40 years, and in the last 20 years, that I have been eating a banana every other day, there have been times, that I take NO medication al all.  Doctor's stand there, with a dumb look on their face...sucking their thumb!   wondering how I do it.  Oh, they keep trying to prescribe a medication to me...and I reject it, as they fill their pockets with the money they get from all the other suckers!  If you want to be another statistic...keep taking drugs!  I've rejected cholestrol medication as well...an avocado a week...keeps my cholestrol in order.

Bone health; Along with lowering blood pressure, potassium prevents the weakening of the body's bones.  A high sodium intake which is typical for many American diets, can cause excessive amounts of calcium to be lost through the urine, which threatens not only the strength and general health of the bones, but also negativity affects the blood-clotting proper muscle contraction and normal nervous system function.  The potassium found in bananas, neutralizes the high amount of sodium in one's diet, thus, allowing for healthy amounts of calcium to remain in the body.

 High Nutrient Absorbtion; The potassium in bananas, is not the only means to ensure healthy levels of calcium in the body.  Bananas aslo contain levels of fructoobgosaccaride (FOS) tract, along with insulin...promotes calcium bacteria in the colon that manufacture vitamins and digestive enzymes that boost the body's overall ability to absorb nutrients.

 Healthy Digestive Tract; Bananas can diminish the uncomfortable effects of diarrhea and constipation.  The high levels of potassium in bananas can restock electrolytes, that are easily depleated when suffering from constipation and help restore regular digestion with pectin, a soluble polysaccharide that help normalize the digestive tract.

Rugged Out; Bananas are the healthy constitution of the stomach in two ways;  First, they trigger the production of mucus in the stomach, which provides a protective barrier against stomach acids.  Secondly, bananas possess protease inhibitors, a substance that breaks down bacteria in the stomach that cause ulcers.  (moreover proteas inhibitor also obstruct the replication cells and viruses including HIV)

Cancer Prevention; A large study by the Internal Journal of Cancer, illustrates that the probability of developing kidney cancer is greatly lessoned by frequent consumption of fruits and vegetables, through especially bananas.  For instance; the probability of developing kidney cancer in female subjects decreased by 50%, when eating bananas 4 to 6 times a week.

Vitamin B6; One banana has an impressive 34% of the RDA of vitamin B6, which serves many important roles in the body's health.  For example, the B6 in bananas acts as a anti-inflammatory agent that helps ward off cardiovascular disease; type 2 diabetes as well as obesity.  B6 also contributes to the maintenance of the lymphhoid glands, that ensures the production of healthy white blood cells that protect the body from infection.

Finally, the vitamin B6 in bananas play a pivital part in cell formation and proper nervous system function, making one banana a healthy and delicious choice.

Banana pudding, anyone?
