At the age of 68 in 2013, I have only been a member of three organizations in my life, and they were all regretable.  To my last day on this planet, I will never again join another organization again...to many people of hate; jealously; negative people I don't want to be around, etc. 

I had a recent incident, that I want to share with the reader, and, I believes it involves a person of HATE, and the reader will have to judge for himself or herself whether they agree with me or long.  The story is long, so I will just abbreviate things to cut the fat out of the story.  The story involved making a complaint to the Civil Rights Commission in Denver, Colorado.  I was denied a second opinion in a medical case that was to involve surgery of a kidney stone, that never panned out. 

When I was shown the x-ray by Dr. X, I thought the x-ray had been tampered with, to make it look more like surgery was needed as soon as possible.  I thought it was a money-making scheme by doctors, and a scheme to train a surgeon in the procedure.  All this happened in March of 2012, and 18 months later, As of Labor Day of 2013,  I still think this was a scheme to make money, and I will never divieate from that positon. 

 I got all my miss-trust from the 18 years I spent at the local VA Medical Center, as I have been screwed so many times.  You see, the VA is a training and teaching hospital, and I have always feared guinea-pigging and experimentation going on there, and I'm sure it does.  I left the VA in 2007, and I went into the public sector, and I find it to be almost as bad at the VA.  Right now, I would give the private sector a grade of 'D' for dismal. 

When I was taken to the emergency room by the ambulance people, I stopped taking the Ambien that I was taking for about 3 months.  This is where I pointed the finger...the Ambien.  I told this to the ER doctor, and I think she poo-pooed it away.  After a x-ray was takey, she told me that I was passing a kidney stone.  I didn't believe her.  I passed a kidney stone in 1989, and the two pains were different, and there was something going on here, but I didn't know what it was.  I was referred to see a urologist in about a week later, and I didn't believe the urologist either. 

He made a date for surgery on the first visit for over two months later, and this just brought more suspicion into the formula.  My suspicion and miss-trust grew, and I told the urologist, that there would be no surgery, until I got a second opinion.  I called a urology place downtown, and I was told that the x-ray had to be updated, and to place it on a disk, and with any paperwork, to put it bubble-pac, and mail it to the urology office and we could start that was with the second opinion.  I then thought to myself...

Could all of this be a fraud of the highest order?

My booklet grew to 32 pages in length, because I used the pages and documents such as letters ot tell the story.  For example, if I were in the ER, I would add the ER document to the booklet; the four page diagnosis by the urologist; and so forth.  I didn't care about the size of the document, as long as I didn't forget anything.  Now...where to send the booklet?  This decision gave me problems in the beginning.  I had to make sure the story could be understood by the reader.  I thought this was the best way to organize the booklet.  Place the page number on the page, and then describe what the reader is reading, etc.  I think it told the story, by doing it this way.  $64,000 question;  Now, where to send the booklet? 

There are two sides to this issue...the medical side and the legal side...civil rights.  When I mailed the CD with the x-ray on it, and the paperwork to the Abq Urologists Associates, I received their response, and I was denied getting the second opinion on the kidney stone surgery.  I was mad as a dog...and I was reminded of the Civil Rights in the 1960's whereby black people were denied being served in eating places in the south, etc.  I looked up the Civil Rights Commission, and that's how all this got split up into medical on the one side...and civil rights on the other side, etc. 

I knew from the beginning, that I would NOT send the information to the Medical Board in Santa Fe, because, as we all know, medical people cover for each other, and the Medical Board was NOT the place to go.  I didn't mail the Medical Board anything.  Doctor's offices; medical clinics; and hospitals are in business to make money...therefore they have to follow the same rules that any business person would follow.  I decided to get started by mailing the information to the Attorney General's office (Consumer Protection Division).  I have plenty of experience with this, as I have submitted 21 complaints to this office, and I have won 20 of them during the last 20 years. 

It was the Attorney General's office that sent my information to the Medical Board asking for clarification on if any laws were violated.  Nothing was sent to the Medical Board by me.  All this happened back in April of 2013, and I was concerned about the Statute of Limitations, so I got in under the wire.  At that time, both the Attorney General's office and the Medical Board, wrote to me.  Because of my miss-trust of the Medical in general and of the Medical Board, I decided to go with my complaint with the Civil Rights Commission, because I thought my civil rights were violated, when the Abq. Urologists denied my request for the second opinion in the kidney stone matter. 

Because of my misstrust of the Medical Board...now enters the U.S. Attorney (Medicare) where my information will be mailed.  I am, currently, waiting for a response from the Civil Rights Commission (Denver Regional office), and I will go from there.  On the medical side of things and the x-ray I think was tampered with, I will ask the U.S. Attorney's office to get a radiologist to look at the x-ray in quesiton, and report objectively to the U.S. Attorney's office.  As far as I'm concerned, the Medical Board will NOT have any say in this.  It will be the opinion of a nutural radiologist that will matter.  I will wait until I see what the Civil Rights Commission says about the matter before I act. 

The U.S. Attorney, armed with a court-order can get that x-ray of March 15, 2013.  If the Civil Rights Commission judges for me favorbly, that could help me to get that x-ray, for the radiologist to look at and report the findings, etc. 

As I write this piece on Sunday September 8th, 2013, I anxiously await the letter from the Civil Rights Commission, that I hope will be favorable to me and my complaint.  If it is, I hope the U.S. Attorney will get involved.  When I mailed this booklet out in early Auguest, 2013, I mailed a copy to the Medical Board, and the following letter was received on September 8, 2013...

"Re; Complaint Against Albuquerque Urologists Associates;

Dear Mr. Aragon;

As you know, your complaint against the above-referenced was received by the New Mexico Medical Board in April, 2013 and again in August, 2013.  The complaint was reviewed by the Executive Committee and Board Prosecutor to determin whether or not there was an apparent violation of the Medical Practices Act.

After a review of your complaint, it was determined that unless you name a specific medical doctor in your complaint against whom uyou want the Board to investigate, we connot assist you.  Therefore, I am returning your complaint to you  The Board has no jurisdiction over Albuquerque Urologists Associates or any healthcare facilities in New Mexico. 

Additionally, from a review of your business card, which is attached to a copy of your complaint to the Civil Rights Commission, and of which we received a copy on August 16th, 2013, you are using the initials "M.D" after your name.  You are not a licensed as a medical doctor in New Mexico.  Therefore, the use of this credential after your name constitutes false advertising and can be perceived as someone who is practicing medicine unlicensed, which is a fourth degree felony in New Mexico. 

Thank you for sharing your concerns with the New Mexico Medical Board.

END OF LETTER; Critique follows on this letter;

- This letter from DD should have never been written, because the writer doesn't understand the booklet in the first place. 

- The booklet/letter was addressed to the Civil Rights Commission!  A copy of the booklet was sent to the Medical Board, as informational only.  All the information in the booklet is on the legal side of the complaint...civil rights violations...so, how could I name a doctor in the matter.  The Civil Rights violations came from the Abq. Urologists Associates. 

- The third paragraph, which begins with "Additionally," shouldn't be in the letter, either.  To give the reader an idea what's the writer is talking about, I will try to explain it.

Followed by contact information, etc. that appears on any business card, etc.   

For over 20 years, I have handed out thousands of these cards to the public.  This talk of business cards in this letter is NOT pertinent to the issue at hand.  Why would this paragraph be in this letter in the first place. 

I didn't go to the Medical Board to have somebody evaluate my business card, right?  I think what makes this writer a person of HATE, is the fact that my business card has my URL and website address on it.  This person went to my website/writing site and snooped around, and came back with an attitude;jealousy/resentment and wrote the barb in paragraph three to make me look like a fool.  That's what people of HATE do...try to make you look like a fool...

UPDATE;  When I get the response from the Civil Rights office, I will put it right here. 

Writing Club (people of HATE); During my lifetime (68 years of age), I have never been much of an organization person.  (too many hateful people to put up with);  

In 2009, I joined a local writing club, and I hoped for the best, because, as I said I am NOT an organization person.  And, this one didn't work out, either, because I think there was a person of HATE on the board, and this person was intent on getting in my way.  

Later that year, I wanted to place a full page ad in the newsletter, that would cost me about $100,00.  It would be a Christmas Ad and I was trying to raise awareness for the homeless shelter and maybe others world donate as well.  The rules said to have the ad paid for and the ad camera-ready one month before the publishing of the ad, so in the last week of September of 2008, I had everything ready and submitted it.  The ad was to have been published on the November 1st edition and/or the December 1 edition.  

November 1 came and went, and there was no ad in the newsletter, and I was concerned.  Oh well, there was December for the ad, which was composed of Santa's angels; snowflakes; the reindeer and the Manger and so forth.  It was a Christmas scene, etc.. and could only be published on one of two dates in December. 

December 1st came and went, and there was no ad in the newsletter, so I called the office to find out what's going on.  At the time, I thought someone on the Board or in the office was out to get me.  He or she was NOT going to let me succeed with my project, but I didn't know it could be this bad.  At Christmas time?  To raise money for the needy?  I was not a happy camper. 

Whoever answered the phone sounded like a three year old, and I asked why my ad was not published in November Or in December.  The answer I got didn't make sense, and I told the person I wanted a refund.  Over the next two months, there was no refund, and I got a call in the middle of February, 2010, and I was told that the ad was ready for publishing.  I was so mad, I almost hung-up on the caller. 

How could I place a Christmas-related ad up on the 1st of March?  I demanded the caller give me a refund, and I would NOT put the ad up in March...which would make me look like a fool.  Somebody on that Board or on the staff, was in my way, and had authority to delay this until it fell apart.  I demanded a refund; hung up the telephone...  quit the Club...never to return...
