Prologue


Outside of town a college student pulls his car over to the side of the road. Shutting off his headlights he kills the engine and steps out of his car, closing the drivers door he walks towards the crossroads. He stops in the center of the crossroads, it’s a hot humid night the smell of fresh rain still hangs heavy in the night air.

Overhead a full moon emerges from the passing storm clouds above. A dense fog clings close to the ground, as off in the distance approaching the crossroads a figure appears seemingly out of no where. The slim figure draws closer till at last he stands before the young student. Dressed in a whitesuit and wearing a wide brimmed hat, with cane in hand.

The young student swallows hard, he can feel his heart racing beating faster. Lucifer stands with a evil grin on his face as he then speaks.


“So boy what would you ask of me on this glorious night?” “Can you smell that boy?” Do you smell the night air? “Oh how I love the night so,” the daylight is way over rated don’t you agree?


The young man with a look of confusion responds, “I suppose so.” Are you him? Are you the devil?


Lucifer’s grin broadens as he responds, names, names, what’s really in a name my boy? “Now what would you ask of me this night?” Speak up boy! “Cat got your tongue?”


The young man kicks at the mud on the road, looking up into Lucifer’s eye’s he ask, “Is the legend about the wolf strap true ?”


Hearing the boys question Lucifer’s eye’s flicker like candle flames as his grin broadens delighted by what he’s been asked.



Lucifer responds, “Oh yes it’s true and so much more, were you also aware there is a spell book that also empowers the wolf strap even more?”


The boy excited responds, “Then it is true ?”


Lucifer replies, Yes, yes, my boy it’s all true . “Of course you must be worthy of such a gift, are you worthy boy?”



The young man responds, “Oh I’d give anything for such powers.”


Lucifer grins and ask, “Anything you say?”


The boy says, “Yes anything!”


Lucifer replies, “Well then how about your soul?”


The young man responds, “Yeah right, are you serious?”


Lucifer pulls out a printed form from his pocket and responds, “How about a contract then?” Let’s just say a written agreement between me and you, here sign here as he holds out a pen.

The boy reaches for the pen pricking his finger on it’s sharp tip drops of his blood drip onto the contract.


Lucifer grins saying, Ahhhh.. “That should do nicely," as he folds the contract back into his pocket. Then suddenly a belt with what appears to be animal fur attached to it appears in Lucifer’s left hand. Holding it out to the boy Lucifer says, “Here you go, it’s all yours boy.”


The boy takes the belt from Lucifer and asks, “So how does it work?”


Lucifer says, “Oh you’ll figure it out, don’t worry about that, now of course I may from time to time require a favor from you, of course you will obey me or suffer the consequences.” Do you understand?


The young man smiles and responds, “Sure anything you ask.”


Lucifer smiles and says, “Good, good, now go!” Lucifer turns and slowly walks away, as he does he soon disappears into the dense fog.


And so it begins.
