The few people who have so far bought my book have been very kind. No on has taken me aside and said: "Dave... did you actually read "Baker's Dozen" before you published it?" Because sometimes it seems like I didn't!
Problem was, I couldn't afford a proofreader. I spent 3 days and nights reading my first crack at a novel and believed I found everything wrong with it. So I had it published and was sent a "proof". I remember opening to a random page and finding "last", instead of "lost", in a sentence which made the line, well, sound kinda stupid. Well, two publishings later (including a cover redo), I thought I had it nailed.
Tonight, I was copying a section to put on weRead.com and I found 3 more errors!
So, here's the deal: anyone buying the book and finding all the errors (you gotta email me to say where and what), I will send you by PayPal, 1 (one) American penny for each mistake plus you get your name put in the hat for an eBook version of the sequel (2010-11?).
Yes... another attempt at shameless self-promotion!
