The title of my novel pretty clearly states it is a work of fantasy. I did that this time around as the original title, which I thought was quite clever when I first used it, is ,well, a common one. Also, the original label probaly would attract fantasy fans who were casually looking around.
I just wanted to add that there is a horror element, too, to the book. Matter of fact, quite gruesome at times. The evil beings depicted are (i hope) truly frightening and not just from looks and deeds but , also, from their ethics (if any).
Stephen King is one of my favoured horror authors. I'm definitely not saying I'm his equal but I sure like his throwing way of a "BOO!" at you when you least expect it.
I use the night-time hours for most of my attempts of frightening my readers...I've been scared of the dark for years...although, I'm getting better due to the dibilitating effects of maturity: sometimes, that little extra drip of andrenoline is good for you.
Having said that, just calling it "Baker's Dozen: a Horror/Fantasy Novel" sounded way too ponderous and smacked of overkill!
