What is Mutuality?
Mutuality, in essence, is the concept of man as a responsible being with his own happiness as both the practical and ultimate purpose of his life, with creative expression as his noblest activity, and love as the only absolute. (Love is the good we be and do).
Mutuality, a naturalistic Full Life Process philosophy, was discovered by Uriah J. Fields while he was on a seven-year search in pursuit of an alternative to integration. It began while he was involved as a Civil Rights activist during the Montgomery Bus Boycott and ended in 1963, a year after he became a resident of California.
He discovered that Mutuality is the only viable response to, and solution for, the race (racism) problem, but more than that, it is the higher consciousness response to total living, including all kinds of relationships which engender meaning in life and promote personal fulfillment.
Everyone has a philosophy of life, but is it health-producing?

In Mutuality there are seven principles that we call Mutuality principle and two procedures employed in the application of Mutualiy that we call Mutuality methods.

In developing personhood or becoming a Mutuality Warrior these Mutuality principles and methods are guides that direct the Mutualiy practitioner's total way of being. Responsibility is the axis principle, around which the other six principles revolve. At the heart of the practice of Mutuality is the affrimation: To yourself be responsible and then you will not be irresponsible to any other person or situation.


The Principal
Uriah J. Fields is Encourager-in-Chief of the Mutuality Warrior Corps. He was the principal founder of MWC in 1991, one year after publication of his book, "The Mutualtiy Warrior." He envisions a society where people develop into fully human beings, practice community and promote peace.
This is a fundamental question that is always present whenever any discussion focuses on the quality of life: "How are we to live our lives reasonably safe from destructiveness without withdrawing or hiding to avoid things we fear and apparent danger?" Indeed, man's inhumanity to man is undeniable proof that man is a wolf to man. The stance in which the Mutuality Warrior stands inviolate within his own uniqueness can be stated thusly: "I lift my right hand against destuctiveness; extend my left hand in caring, and raise both hands in praise." Abiding in this stance enables a person to confront and manage destuctiveness, extend caring, and be spiritually-attuned, i.e., adhere to the soul's code.
Reading "The Mutuality Warrior" is required reading for anyone who is interested in becoming a person or a Mutuality Warrior.
